I love this. It finally looks like there are people in (at least this) Honda community that respect most other types of motor enthusiasts. It shouldnt matter what your preference is. You should understand that each preference has its benefits and drawbacks, and you should respect others for making the decision they have made.
:word:

That's how it should be. There should be respect for anyone who is a car enthusiast no matter what they're preferences are (I4,V6,V8,H4,domestic, Import).

TBH, the only thing that slightly perturbs me about any engine, is when volvo turbos a 5 cylinder.

Thank you for supporting it. I have the itch to modify my EM2. Just because I would like to have an LS series car doesnt mean that I DONT respect or like Honda enthusiasts. Yea I agree that its AWESOME the kind of power some of these cars can make from such small engines. But for me at least, its just not logical to do myself. Im not rollin in money, so I would rather get more power for my dollar.....which I would get from a V8. On the flip side, the car that Im eying as a project car is a 2nd gen MR2. Something thats TOTALLY different from Hondas and V8 cars. Just because you respect another cars positive factors doesnt mean you are disrespecting your favored car.

v8's are inefficient, bad on gas and not worth the money. Especially the useless carb'd ones.
the new motor I am putting in is a "useless carb'd one".. and it will RAPE my Honda that had a ton more money into it...

as far as gas mileage.. who give a f**k.. If I wanted gas mileage I would drive some stupid hybrid.. gas mileage doesn't mean s**t to me.. I want a FAST car..

there is NOTHING wrong with Hondas.. nothing wrong with loving them.. I obviously think they are great cars.. which is why I stayed here even after I ditched mine.. the problem is when people with Hondas get delusional and think they are something they are not.. once the new motor is in the car it will roughly be about a $5k car... that runs high 12's.. nitrous should easily get it deep into the 11's it is VERY reasonable to put together a STREETABLE domestic that is capable of making 10 second passes.. until you have driven a 10/11 second car.. I don't think you can really grasp just how fast that is..

i dont care how much they raise the price of gas, im always going to drive something i enjoy over some piece of s**t economy car that im driving just to save money (nothing against hondas). you're in the car every single day and you usually keep one for a few years so if thats not an investment worth your money what is?

i own 3 8 cylinder cars. I would keep one of the 8"s over any 4 cylinder's i have.

A V8 can be great engine. I built a 460 for my hiboy. Fun truck . . . great powerplant. Not easy on the wallet with 8 mpg! I used it for construction and the company picked up the gas bill. When I was given a company truck it was stripped and sold for parts. A friend is currently beating the engine into a 90 mustang.

Personally, I am more of a fan of inline sixes. Being raised as the son of a 'Ford Guy' I have seen some neat engines in the shop. But I hold a special place in my heart for the 300 inline. I have personally seen one dyno at 310 rwhp and still get 18 around town.

As above, all engine have benefits and shortcomings.
I will take anything that burns fuel. No EV's in this garage.
