700 is more than what most peole are willing to spend. if you do the work yourself, you can do a ok system with that

I know

Most people want the world and then some for 400-500

I have dudes come in the shop all the time saying "i want something real loud and clean" but only have 300 lol

well the sub requires a lot more than changing a door speaker. a sub adds to all music though and is a very good addition

yea but since i like metal i heard that a big sub wont be able to keep up with the double bass

That's a myth

Sub size does not determine frequency response..enclosure does.

The system i posted is about as good as it'll get around your budget.

this is what i have its perfect for both rock or rap http://www.audio-warehouse.com/web/mdl/PSWB12/detail.asp the sound quality is amazing for the price also the quality of the subs and the box are extremely well built i have pounded the hell out of these subs for the past three years and there going strong they also have survived a roll over accident i had in my last car. the box itself is tuned specifically for the speakers and is extremely light it also fits perfectly in my trunk which is a 04 dx

the rest you can spend on high end components, amps and wires maybe even upgrade your grounds and battery.
