What do you guys think of my car?

But yeah I need to get some work done on my car. I need to get my rear brakes replaced; I need a tie rod replaced (It's loose... and I am hoping it isn't going to go anytime soon), I need to replace my CV Axle, and on my rear trailing arms the bushings are rotting out (ALL because the car sat for a year) So yeah in total those parts are around 350 dollars. I'm hoping to go through my uncle and get his 50% discount on the parts. The next thing is getting someone to do the work on it. I'm sure I could figure out how to do the labor; but the literal know-how and the time is a different story. Although in total w/ labor it'll be around 850-900 dollars. BLEH!

Yeah... tell that to the kid who put it on there... I am now bottoming out because he spent money on lowering the front of the car and not on the maintenance that was needed. He didn't even put a camber kit so the tires I had on the front wore on the inner edge.

I actually have things I need to fix up on the car. I don't care what you all think about the height of the vehicle... you really need to drive up here in Maine, even the main routes are terrible. I'll be bringing the car back to stock height in the next few weeks. I have to buy all four struts. Lowering a car in this region... for a daily car, just so that it can be a pimp mobile, is just not practical.

I need to replace my rear trailing arm bushings, struts (all four), CV-Axle, Windshield, Exhaust, Shifter (The kit put in some Chinese pot metal POS sort shifter, I went out in traffic and shifted to second and broke the shifter off of the top...), Rear Drum Brakes, I have some electrical problems as well... sometimes my VSS won't work when I first start up and drive I end up having to turn the key off and turning it back to on to acc (WHILE DRIVING MIND YOU) My guess is that the ECU is bad (I'll grab my brothers from his 94 Civic EX). I replaced my dome light the other day... and it still didn't work. My horn doesn't work either... and my intermittent wipers don't work .... are those interconnected? I've checked my fuses already and it's all accounted for and still good.

Also to note I have a sound coming through my speakers when I listen to AM or FM radio... it's a clicking noise, the noise speeds up as I get faster. So my guess is that I have a short circuit somewhere.

I would also like to note that whenever I get out of the car I feel a zap if my hand touches the door casing; much like getting zapped after being on a carpet and touching a door knob.

Awesome! You can be my twin then!

**Update on my car**
I just ordered a Spoon Front Lip, and a Type-R Rear Lip, and soon to get some Evo-4 Side Skirts. Getting a full exhaust kit as well... so it will look much better, and no... I am not going to lower this car. I bottomed out too many times this winter to even CARE for lowering.

I got new struts (stock height) so now the car sits correctly; not as though I feel like the cars going down hill all the time. haha 1000 dollars later and everything previously stated and my CV axle, and ALL 8 Rear Trailing arm bushings are fixed... OUCH.

Put my rims back on, Grabbed my brothers tires from his rims; you'll notice that they are 205/35 R16's so the tires are wider; and looking better then the 205/45's.

One of my local friends has an uncle that painted his 99 Civic a nice lush blue and did the body work for him at $1000. The paint job is flawless, this guy has been painting airplanes his whole life, so I am sure I can trust him. I'm looking towards having a blue myself. Something like this.

That is the front lip I bought as well.

I plan on getting a carbon fiber hood, so that the lights I put on my car have another black to match with.

I have a plan and a image in my head on how this car will / should look after everything, and I'm going to love it. Hopefully some of you here will as well.

it needs work

get rid of those ricer tail lights and buy a vibrant street power muffler, it would go perfect with your civic and also get your car repainted black or gun metal grey!

good luck and keep it clean!
