I know a 5.0 would be faster, but I kept it in the same brand. That's why I said if someone was a Honda lover. s**t you could buy a one year old, extremely low mileage Si for $17k in my area. That's "new" enough, and with $7k left you could build the engine left. I am comparing very similar cars here.

And why would I test drive one? I have no interest in getting one. It weighs like 100 pounds less than my car, has 7 less horsepower, and gets 4 more MPGs.....these are extremely minimal differences. The incentive to spend four times as much as my car is worth is just NOT there when I am essentially getting a car that the only upside is it reads "0" on the odometer.
Warranty, which you won't have once you've touched the engine on your low mileage civic Si, so you spent $17k on a car with zero warranty. And if you don't see the advantage of buying a new car (if you had driven a CRZ you'd know it's umpteen times better to drive than a 7th gen civic) then this is a moot point anyway.

You're also forgetting that if the car remains a hybrid, it will have federal and state level incentives, which drops the price considerably.

exactly. The gas mileage is nothing spectacular as well. I mean i hate to say it, but most honda's are like this when they are new. Don't get me wrong, i like my honda as a daily driver, and will likely run it into the ground. But it is nothing special. It's comfortable, and gets decent gas mileage. If i can get that from my 7 year old honda, why spend four times as much for 7 less horsepower and 4 extra mpgs?
:d agreed
