You're still in Rochester right? We're still getting hit pretty good right now too... I read NYC got a foot. I can't imagine the chaos of NYC + snow plows...

I live in Maine. I know its not the "norm" for you guys to get snow but jesus. I daily drove my slammed Si all winter last year. We get 15-18 inch snow storms all the time. Its really not as dramatic as everyone is making it sound.

Dude, I got ya. Just remember that our city and state systems don't have the means or equipment readily available to keep this much snow off the roads. So when we get 8-9 inches like we got this time, its just as much on the roads. Now, im not butt hurt, I thought this would be a entertaining set of pics, which is why im posting. I can't even drive right now. I am in Texas, my car is home in alabama.

lawl. I make a living off from snow removal in the winter. 6-8 inches is nothing. We got 2 feet off from the storm that gave you guys such an "issue". I drive in this s**t every day. srsly. I woudlnt want to hear it when its -10 degrees out with a wind chill. It gets so cold cars come with block heaters and you have to plug cars in to start them in the morning. I plow a s**t ton driveways, and drive in the middle of white out/blizzard snow storms when you cant see past the hood of the truck. "get over it" like I said, its f**ken 6 inches of snow.. We get over 150 inches a year, and have to deal with liquid calcium that the state puts down on the roads. The lakes up here have over a foot of ice on them for christs sake.

I understand that the state systems arent prepared for adequate removal. I was actually going to travel down with my truck and 9.5' stainless steel fisher V-Plow and make a killing plowing driveways, and follow the storm back home. Last year I heard of a few local guys that went out and bought brand new Duramax Diesel 4x4's with Easy V's and took them down to Maryland and paid the trucks off just from that 1 storm. Next one, Count me in.

No need to sound all butt hurt over his comment. It's one thing when you constantly get snow and live with it. But it's another thing when southerners don't. I took my front lip off to stop plowing snow. I'm not that low but anymore than 3" of snow on the ground and it hits my lip and comes up onto the hood and windshield.

My friend and I did the same thing last year when a few states down were getting hit hardcore. His dad has an 04 f350 turbo diesel with a plow and my friend has the same truck except 08 and a skidsteer with a gigantic snow blower. So we put the dads plow in the bed and the skidsteer on my friends trailer and we took both trucks. We were about 3 hours into our drive when my friend's truck threw a CEL and basically had NO power and wouldn't go past 3000RPM. He had the pedal to the floor and we were doing 30-40mph on the freeway. Imagine hauling like 8000 pounds without any power lol. My friend didn't exactly want to leave his truck in the middle of Pennsylvania and continue on with his dads truck because we would've had to drive his truck back either way so we turned around and came home.

I agree.

But as stated previously, the south doesn't usually get snow. So they aren't really prepared for it. So to them, it's a big deal. Certain states declared a state of emergency, cities had to shut down, etc.

For where I live, it'd be like getting tornados and hurricanes every year and for them saying it's not that big of a deal when it is for us since we usually don't see that kind of activity.

quit ya bitchin. This is what its like in Maine..2 hours into the storm that dropped 6 inches in alabama... We had 3-4 inches an hour. And I was still driving around all day, next storm I'll put my GoPro on and take some HD Video showing how to actually drive in the snow. Its funny how just cus snow falls on the road and accumulates into a few inches, the world is coming to an end and everyone drives like s**t. Places closed a few hours early but were open the next day.

This is my Evo at Stock ride height.

Oh for f**ks sake, no one cares. Stop trying to one up people. Jesus christ.

Maine is used to having a lot of snow. Alabama isn't, can we leave it that? f**king god damn.
