That's what I was thinking. He's buying time either to renege on relinquishing power or to loot the coffers.Dude is a stubborn d**k.
^This. Minus that manly 'f**king right'. I kid. I did give a fist pump of approval when it was on my news feed this morning.I watched as Suleiman made the statement of Mubarak's resignation. f**king right. The people are still dancing in the streets. I won't lie, my eyes teared up. A beautiful thing happened today.
No kidding. At this point it could delve farther into corruption or get better. I wonder what will happen.I find it ironic that everyone is cheering for the reform powered by the people when we literally have NO idea what will happen next... you assume it will be better.. and that could end up being the biggest mistake yet..
cool you now have a nation with one of the largest military forces in the world with NO president.. awesomeness.. can't wait to see who takes control..
You criticize us for being too optimistic. I criticize you for being too pessimistic. You have no clue that it will end up badly. You simply believe it will.I find it ironic that everyone is cheering for the reform powered by the people when we literally have NO idea what will happen next... you assume it will be better.. and that could end up being the biggest mistake yet..

All eyes are on Egypt now. The entire world is watching. The military easily could have taken power by now if that was their true aim. They still could, but why not earlier? Why wouldn't they have done it already?
We're happy because a dictator no longer has control of the people and these people have a shot at living good lives in which their desires are reflected in their government, something we take for granted every day. You're damn right I'm cheering.
-Ordinary Egyptian people stood against a regime, peacefully, for 18 days.
-All of their technology was taken from them so that they couldn't build it bigger. They said "f**k it, we'll hand out flyers."
-Their homes were attacked by hired thugs. They said "f**k it, we'll form our own neighborhood watch groups."
-They were infiltrated by "pro-mubarak supporters" who turned out to be corrupt police, trying to scare them and/or incite violence from the "peaceful protesters". They said "f**k it, we'll arrest you and hand you over to the authorities."
-The world stood by, watched, and pretty much did nothing. They said "f**k it. We got this."
-Their dictator lied to them, lied to the nation, and lied to the world, punished all who he could with arrest, torture and deception. They said "f**k you. I will have my freedom."
And they succeeded in achieving their purpose. You're damn right I'm cheering.
