What's up everybody new to site. I'm lookin to buy a civic si vtec or integra and bulid from scratch. Any ideas? I'm new to this so take it easy on me and I kno some ppl are goin to make fun of me. But show me some love. Thank you

No disrespect here. If you got the cash, I'd say buy a Civic EX or Si. The Si will cost more in payment and insurance but it also has more power and features depending on the generation you plan to get. What year are you looking to buy?

O ok, then yes a 00 Si(EM1) would be a great car to buy. But be wary, those civics are the most stolen as theyre the sweetest in my mind. With that Si, you will be getting the b16a2 DOHC VTEC L4. It produces 160bhp and 111 lbs of torque(someone correct me if Im wrong). I have driven one and must say that theres really no need to build or add anything. It already gets up and goes without a problem. If you did want to "build" to it, I'd suggest a CAI, upgraded headers, exhaust, suspension lowering and maybe a turbo if u have the money.

that's what I was thinking. I was goin to jus add headers, cat back, lowering springs. How would you turn it into a turbo? Wouldn't you need a chip or something?

Im not to sure on what all needs to happen to add a turbo to one. mine isnt turboed.

dont rice it out with body kits, big ass spoilers, 8ft fart can or anything else stupid. a clean civic is a wonderful civic. Also, when u do lower it, keep in mind if u have a front lip and the roads around where u live. otherwise u will end up scraping the bumpers and might dent the oil pan.

Maybe a body kit no spoiler, haha no fart can. Keep it nice and simple. The roads are fine where I live so I could lower it with out damage the bumber or oil pan.

Instead of a body kit, look into lips, they can dramatically change how ur car looks. also fog lights can change the look as well

Yea I rather do lips then body kit keep it simple. what kind of fog head and tail lights?

Welcome man.. On the headlights the stock look good but in my opinion look into cft headlights or black housing. Some ppl can pull it off wit the right grill but some can't lol.. Yeah lips are much cleaner, body kits and all that with euro lights just ruin a car especially an Si since it's so clean looking already. Keep Si rims, lower it, add headers, good catback exhaust, and a short ram intake and you'll be riding real nice. Try not to take shortcuts wen building a car. Spend the money and get quality parts.
Btw: adding turbo is gonna run you a good 1,000-2,000.. Some ppl say it's worth it, some dnt. All up to you.

Ya, turboing a daily driver can be quite pointless. but yes, never take shortcuts, knock offs will bite u in the ass in the future

Thanks man. I'm goin to take mytime with it I already have some ideas with paint color but jus so lost with engine and yes. When I complete the basics I'm turning it into turbo. I'm goin to spend about a good 10,000 grand into the car it self lol

Yeah that's the main thing man, takin your time. Wat are you thinkn for the motor? 10k is a good amount so I'm sure you'll hav a nice ride.

IMO i wouldn't turbo an Si. Keep it mostly stock(again imo). I mean it's an Si keep it original.

But I'm goin to keep the body the same throw some lips on it and lower it. Might keep the si rims or I might switch it up. Either black white or a bronze color. Change head lights and tail lights fog lights no spoiler
