Put in a new clutch and flywheel today. Turned out to be a bigger job than expected....

First we pull the tranny off and everything is SOAKED in oil. So my friend says I should get a new rear main seal. I say ok. Then he mentions we have to pull the oil pan gasket. I say awesome, because I have a new gasket I've been wanting to put in anyways so nows the perfect opportunity. So we run to my house to get the oil pan gasket, run to Honda to get the rear main seal (which was $25! :D), then remember we need oil if we're dropping the oil pan so run to advanced auto to get a 5qt jug of oil. We replace everything and she fires up and drives away with no hiccups =). It's making a weird chatter noise which my friend is going to check out tomorrow.

But all in all, the whole thing went VERY smooth. All the bolts came out without a problem. We even dropped the header to get to the lower tranny bolts and oil pan and those came out without a problem. We didn't break any bolts, except we stripped a couple of threads on one because the bolt wasn't long enough and we were just cranking on it with an impact. A longer bolt fixed that =).

The car drives SSSOOO smooth now. The clutch pedal literally feels like water. The lightened flywheel definitely is noticeable. And I'm not used to a clutch that actually grabbed. I accidentally let the clutch out too quickly a few times and the car just lurches. Definitely have to get used to the lightened flywheel over stock.

Hey you. Accept my re-friend request

... Just got back from NC. Hot as fck there. Had a great time though. Went out to the bars on the last night and had to catch a plane at 6 to come back to NY... was up for 27 hours straight.

Whole entire trip.. from Wed. night to Sunday morning... I spent.... $15. Free plane, food, drinks, etc. All I bought was.... a t-shirt ;)

the chatter noise could be a input shaft bearing.

on my honeymoon, long ass drive, now time for some pizza and relaxing.
