This is my 1995 Honda civic EX. I've owned this car for about 2 months or so, and I've spent that time just replacing everything here and there, getting a good foundation going. I'm not looking to build a track car just making a solid daily driver that look good, sounds good, and runs good. I took these pics today. It needs a wash but it's supposed to rain tonight so I didn't waste my time.

Ordering the intake this friday, I'll also be replacing the fuel pump so I'll include pics of that.
I plan to keep this thread going, as I'm always doing something to the car, whether it be maintenance or soon to be aftermarket parts.

Sorry for the double post but if I can explain, the reason the reservoir's not hooked up is because the guy I bought the car from said the reservoir's cracked so it's bypassed. I've just gotta get around to fixing that.

Edit: and the fuel filter is held in with a zip-tie because it's missing the bracket.

Now it's become a triple post, but hey not my fault that no one's commented on this. Anyways, update. I've installed a ram air intake, got some nicer hubcaps to replace the spray-painted stock ones, and got some floor mats. Car's looking pretty good. Also replaced the fuel pump, and I'm about to install some 5900k HID headlights as well as a new main relay and thermostat.

Yeah I pride myself on having a clean car. I'll try and get out some pictures tonight or tomorrow. And the intake's just an ebay intake soon to have a k&n filter on it.

At least you dont have to De-rice it!! Thats a nice fresh start.....near showroom clean lol. I hope you have some good plans for it cause it be a shame to let that canvas stay blank and "auto" at that. Check around for good ideas.

Update

New Intake, fixin to get a k&n filter

New floor mats

HUBCAPSS!! lol they're just temporary until I get some rims. The old ones were spray painted silver and kept chipping. Hate all you want but I think it looks better than spray paint.

Bump!
I got some fancy little pedals from autozone just to get the credit to get the free 20 dollars with their rewards program. With that free 20 I bought 20% tint to do my entire car, all windows, including sunroof. I also had an interview at Auto Zone Tuesday and NAILED it. Apparently just waiting on the background check to clear. If I get this job that'll be great. I'll be making a little more than I do at my current job and learning more about cars every day. Pretty good if you ask me.

I also got some blue headlights, they look pretty good and give wayyy better visibility.
My bypass hose blew out and blew antifreeze all over my engine bay and that sucked. I replaced the thermostat while I was messing with everything and replaced that hose.

Also checked into the overflow jug/ reservoir that the guy had by-passed and the jug wasn't even cracked -.- but the hose he had tied in a knot wasn't long enough so I replaced that hose and now it's fully functional.

And I'm also in the process of hunting down a pretty bad oil leak. I'm thinking it's the o-ring on the distributor. Not 100% sure but that's where it seems to be coming from. It slides down the side of the transmission and onto the exhaust manifold so it burns and not only smells bad but looks bad on my part because my car smells like burnt oil whenever I pull up somewhere. So I'm just gonna start by checking that seal.

Thanks for all the compliments on how clean my car is. I appreciate it :D It's even cleaner now because I used a meguiars paint restoration kit and it includes their ultimate compound and that stuff worked wonders to remove stains from my paint. (white stains easily)

Sorry if this post seems really scattered but I'm not much of a morning person and I just woke up.

Great foundation for a build, You can definately tell it's a southern car with no rust issues. You have any questions yell cause I have it's sibling with a Y8 swap and also an auto.

Update!
Took the civic and ex off. (was already planning to do that)

Got 20% tint all the way around. Except for the back window and sunroof. Back window has a bunch of dried adhesive on it that I can't get off, so I'm gonna take it to a shop. I'm gonna take the sunroof off to do the tint soon.

It could look better but f**k it, I had a 20 dollar credit on my account at auto zone so I paid 10 dollars for the tint and the cheapest professional work around here is like 150. So those minor imperfections are worth the money saved for me.

Plus it was my first time doing tint.
