First car.. First Honda!

I'm still on the learning curve when it comes to honda's, but so far, i love it to death. even if it is a SOHC :???: lol. i'm only 17, a HUGE jdm enthusiast. hopefully you guys and girls here at clubcivic can give me some criticism (CONSTRUCTIVE ONLY PLZ) and nothing about visuals, visuals is for me, not you. :twisted: but any help mechanically is greatly appreciated. looking forward to being apart of CC!

I like the wheels. What are the plans for it? It needs a drop and SI tails badly.

haha you read my mind. tein street basis (from CC) and i already have Si taillights on the way. the rims are going byebye in a few days, i live in michigan so im putting on some steelies and snow tires. but when i turn 18 in dec. i'll have access to trust fund money :twisted: so i'll be buying some nice volks for it.

well i'm going to get it painted next spring, but i havent decided on a color yet, it has to go with red accent though lol. i cant find a color that REALLY stands out yet still looks good on a civic.

The wheels actually aren't bad. It just needs a front lip, drop, and different tail lights. If you go with a red, get something darker. Like maroon or something. I love darker colors for cars. Not really a huge fan of bright colors. Battleship grey and black are my 2 favorites.

most of you probably won't agree with this, lol. but i'm going to try and go with something along the lines of this color, except a little bit lighter (just not with those god awful rims)

and yeah i get a trust fund, but only a fraction of it is going into my car, (its not a rediculous amount) i'm working parttime at the moment, hopefully in a few months i'll find something full time so i can start to put some real money into it.

Those rims don't look to bad on your car, needs a drop but a very good base to go off of. As far as the color goes I'd go a shade or two darker... otherwise it might start looking like baby food green lol, and the rims on that car don't look bad either, I'm with Kelly in the fact that I have a soft spot for 17's on 6th gen civics

Good to see everyone likes your rims! Everyone seems to hate the ones I'm getting ready to put on my car HERE.....lmao. They're 17's, too. Yours look nice on your car, I agree. Maybe you could model your future plans around them, maybe even consider a good powder coating. It's usually around $50/Wheel for 17's these days.

Looks like you've found a great car to start with, GL!

That maroon on the WRX's is HOT. I think it would look great on a civic.

That may be the stock color, Midori(not a common color). I'm not sure, the light effect is throwing me off. Regardless, that hatch looks awesome!

Why don't you keep the car black and do a colored rim? I personally think black on the right rim painted Midori would be seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeex!

Now I used to hate Hondas, too, honestly....FWD, rice burners...but then i got one, and I'm HOOKED like a fish on a line to it now. they're not so bad. If you want to voice ur opinions that's fine, but please keep it to a level. this is a forum for talking about Hondas. if the only reason you joined is to diss on them, them you don't belong here...
