So, just bought this hatch, and it'll be my new DD. Got it for $2800. Ha. Pretty affordable for a college student.

Info:

-Running d15z1 jdm swap
-ls front seats
-dropped on ebay coilovers :/

Can't really think of everything. haha. Feel free to ask questions.

Already done to car:

-Sold bike rack
-swapped back to stock rear seats
-added a Broadway mirror
-p28 added
-swapped type r for mugen lip

Plans:
-replace front and rear bumper
-new coilovers
-headers
-swap to z6 head
-new carpet
-sound system
-new rims and tires (blades or si rims)
-primer and maybe paint
-tint
-full exhaust
-clear fogs
-hids
-si tail lights

Really just trying to make a clean DD that does justice to the hatches.

Here are some pictures.

Yeah, the engine needs about 23 gallons of degreaser and a power wash. Haha. My resivoir leaks, and want to get the right one.

Ha. I miss my coupe!

Paint- I was thinking the OEM Color, or maybe just a charcoal gray.

First I need to get all the little ghetto kinks out that the last owner left me.

-needs alighnment
-put a cheap muffler for time being
-idle issue
-new tires
-proper intake

Between school and working it'll keep me nice and busy :p

Yeah, I'm gonna get some si tails.

The guy I bought it from said the guy he bought it from bought the jdm engine. So, I'm not sure, just what I was told.

I'm gonna slap on a z6 head, and then possible a boost later. It'll be a slow build, but a fun one for me.

I love that it's a hatch, I hate that the kid who owned it last did everything the cheap way. Haha.

For instance: The ride is bouncy as hell thanks to the cheap ebay suspension.

Solution: trading my buddy for some skunk2 coils (:

What exactly are "Si tails" since there is no such thing?

Sounds like nobody knows what they are talking about.
d16z1 is from the 92-95 Civic Vx, which is the vtec-e (economy) model.
There is nothing JDM about it since it was not available to that market and JDM motors do not have a number after the letter.

Vtec e is for economy vtec. And 92-95 hatches had the same tail lights as all other eh hatches.

The si tails are the clear/red tails and are aftermarket. They are ebay garbage for the most part, but look really nice if done properly!

If you stick with DEPO brand, they are OEM spec, fit well and don't have problems with leaking.
They make quality aftermarket and OEM style lights.
