yeah now that i thought about it, its supposed to do that. right now the clutch is pushed against the flywheel because the release bearing isnt pushing down on the fingers. this is normal. had to think how the system works lol
You won't be flush until you torque it down since there is resistance from the pressure plate.
Yeah, I though about it afterwards and realized how dumb I was. I just tightened them down and it was fine.

I put together the rest of the engine. Still waiting on some parts from Majestic Honda.

Making some progress on the wiring.

I was going to have my OEM B-pipe shortened to accomodate the B-series header and cat, but really didn't want to spend the money on my rusted, stock exhaust. I found this the other day and couldn't resist. It is the EK hatch version so it'll still need to be shortened, but with the deal I got, I don't mind paying.

Trust me, up close the vc doesn't look that great. I was wondering if anyone would notice those missing parts haha. They're coming in an order from Honda.

Hahah I know where you're coming from. Hopefully I won't have forgot to order anything when my order comes in today. Also, I meant to ask you. What is your exhaust setup? Are you running a cat or does your catback just bolt to your header?

Looks badass! cant wait to see it installed.
Thanks man, I can't wait either!

um well i have a custom made exhaust, and unfortunately it was welded right to the old header. so i just cut my exhaust and welded a flange to a pipe and clamped it to my old exhaust as a temporary fix. going in this next monday to get another exhaust made. but i am running a cat, till monday lol then im ditching it and running cel eliminator

Is it legal to run with no cat in PA? Will you still pass the emissions test? Also, where did you get your CEL eliminator, I might be doing the same thing as you.

ah i missed this. no it is not legal, if they look under the car and see no cat it will fail emissions. but you can normally get away with it with a look a like(test pipe) and a cel elminator. i can inspect my own car though so i dont even have to look at it lol and i get my CEL eliminator from Angel Built. its a shop near me that supplies everyone around my area. they have anything i could need lol and are down the street

Alright so it would pass the visual inspection with a test pipe? Is the CEL eliminator basically like an O2 sensor that plugs into the cat/test pipe?

it could if they dont too hard at it, really it just depends. id talk to someone about it. and its more like a spacer that pushes the sensor farther away from the exhaust so it thinks the cat is actually there and working. but really its not.

put short, it makes it so less exhaust gets to the sensor

Haha thanks, it wasn't that hard. I sanded with 800, 1500, and 2000 grit, then used Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish to get the shine.

I paid $65. I didn't mind, because it was the complete kit. I didn't have to buy any fittings or anything.

That seems pretty reasonable, I'll have to check it out someday.
