Maybe 20 or 30 seconds at most. I did that a couple times. When I pulled the spark plug, I held it close to a ground bolt to see if I could see a spark.

Do you have at least 3 really good ground connections, i remember you painted the block and tranny, are they for sure making good contact?!

I cleaned all the grounds and there still is no spark, I'm going to try some other things to see what the problem is. Any suggestions?

So I figured out the wiring issue and I got it turn over. I was running really rough, then cut out. I'm going to wait for my friend who works at Honda to come over and see if we can figure out what's wrong.

IT LIVES!!!!!

Well with an hour and half left in spring break, we finally got it running. At first I could get any spark, then I realized that 2 wires in my distributor plug were switched. Boom problem solved. I went to turn it over and it would run, but only for a couple seconds and really rough. I was getting frustrated and running out of ideas so I called my friend who works at the local Honda dealer. Around 7, he and his buddy(they both drive K-swapped Civics) came over to help. Right away they figured out two of the spark plug wires were switched and it started right up. We had it idling in the driveway and the IACV was on so it was fluctuating a lot. It never stopped so at first they suspected it was a blown head gasket. We were looking around and realized there was a vacuum leak. So we stated to check some stuff. Then they found that I had no PCV valve and the engine had negative crank pressure. We took the oil cap off and it was sucking as hard as a vacuum. Fixed that with some rerouting of vacuum hoses and it idled fine. Sorry if this was rambling, but it's late at night and I'm tired haha.

Great work man!! Love the way your tranny and block look with with pant, I'm thinking about painting mine like you did when I pull mine out. Your engine looks beautiful!! haha

Haha thanks! I just hope it lasts...

Exactly

I got my dad to take some photos during the process of the swap, nothing too much, but here you go.

Maybe some more later. Right now, I'm just ironing out all the kinks.

Thanks! New filter on the way.

After school today, I rained really hard for 10 minutes then the sun came out so I snapped this pic. Thought it was pretty good.

Ever planning on getting some baseline numbers or tuning it?

There is a Dyno Day coming up at a local shop where you get 3 pulls for $40 bucks. No tuning, but I can at least see what its making. Other than that, I plan to keep it mostly stock, maybe change out the header and the intake while I work on bringing the rest of the car up to my standards.
