Well here's a lot of time and effort, and about 1k worth of paint shot at it the other night. I spent all day there yesterday. It was a long terrible day to say the least. Everything went okay for the most part. Color looks good, body work looks grade A. Straight as an arrow. There was a fair amount of trash in the hood and since I had activator for 100 degrees and painted in high 60 degree weather. So lets just say there are a few small sags on small parts, but mistakes are only mistakes if other people see them lol. So when it comes to me buffing it, i'll take a few before and after shots of some repairs. But I've buffed over 1k cars and don't intend for it to be anything less than perfect. If it isn't right it will be fixed. So here are some pics.
Got her all cleaned up after positioning all the parts.
Got some molding popsicles
Wiped some seam sealer on the back where I fixed some rust repair under the factory stuff. Btw if you have to have to wipe some and want to make it slick some urethane reducer or Prep-sol on your finger will make it slick out and not stick to your finger.
Spraying some sealer
My friend Tate came down to see the progress and took a few action shots
Spraying some color
Sprayed the clear
And the hood looks great in this picture, but in actuality it's super trashy. Just showing you how you can't always trust a picture and what looks good on the internet doesn't look good in person. Yeah the color looks nice and the clear is slick, but that's where the good ends.
