I meant are you going to undervolt them, increase the clock frequency, and/or reduce the latencies? After I shaved down the timings on my g.skill, even windows noticed and gave me another point on the WEI :thumbs up

^^Do you think I can decrease the voltage and still get the same results? If so... that probably wouldn't be a terrible idea. I don't plan on increasing the clocks, as I really don't need it to be any faster, but a little less power consumption is never a bad idea.

I'm sure you can undervolt the memory, unless you are using low voltage memory already.

Here's a good article explaining latency for RAM in a nutshell

*edit*
Why are you trying to undervolt your rig to begin with? Typically undervolting is to save power when you are using a battery, i.e. a laptop. I get the power efficiency thing.. but the dollar savings is pretty insignificant even over the course of a year.

Hey guys, real quick, and out of curiosity. What is your Windows Experience Index rating?

^^I'll have to check and let you know.

Bily - I'm both broke, and a bit of a hippy.. so saving a little energy helps me with both of those. Furthermore, the less voltage I need to send to a part, the lower the temperatures it generates, and the longer its lifespan (within reason, obviously.. undervolting too far can kill the part, apparently).

Hmm.. somethings up with my Primary Hard Disk Score. It was 7.5, but then I re-ran it so that it would recheck my processor (after the overclock), and now it's REALLY low. Mind you, I have a Crucial M4 SSD, and there is no noticeable slowness of the hard disk.

Processor: 7.7
Memory: 7.9
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming Graphics: 7.9
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9

EDIT: found the issue... windows thinks my HDD is my primary hard disk. I didn't set the SATA mode to AHCI before installing windows. Fail..

DOUBLE EDIT: Weird... I switched it over to AHCI using a tutorial.. downloaded the appropriate drivers.. and no difference in my Primary Hard Disk score.

Thanks for the feed back and those are very impressive machine you guys have.

Blow are my scores,

Processor - 7.1
Memory RAM - 7.4
Graphics - 6.3
Gaming Graphics - 6.3
Primary Hard Disk - 7.9

My machine is running with the on-board graphics unit - Intel HD3000, But i do plan on installing a dedicated GPU in the future.

^^I'm very jealous of your primary hard disk score. lol. It's driving me nuts that mine shows a 5.9. I know it's unjustified, because I AM getting the performance (whether windows recognizes it or not), but it's still frustrating. Oh well.

Thanks Hecz. What GPU are you looking at?

Honestly, I have no idea right now because i haven't even started looking. Something Beefy though.

My primary hard drive is a 128 GB Samsung SSD 830 Series.

Joe, did you turn off paged memory? If so, leave it at windows-auto and rerun the assessment. SSD's don't show improvement with paged memory, but windows likes to see that its there for use.

No. Go to the CP > System > Advanced System Settings (aka system properties) > Advanced. Click the Performance Settings button, then Advanced tab. Virtually memory should be set to something greater than 0 (even though it does not improve SSD performance like I said previously). You can either enter your own page file min and max, or set it to auto which is what windows likes the most.

*edit*
One thing to keep in mind if disabling the page file, I believe you lose storage of the windows logs and alerts.
