My cars experiencing problems please help!

So yesterday I noticed a dead spot in the acceleration around 5500 rpm. My car is the Integra gsr block and a type r head with a turbo pushing 5 psi. I was told it could be the throttle position sensor which is easy to fix so I bought one and changed it and when I did I started the car and right when I started it it dropped the Roma to nothing and almost stalled out, then pcked up and idled at 1000 or 1100. We adjusted the tps but we couldn't get right of the first start up problem. Please help! Now it barely will start when it's cold. I started it this morning and when I did and the rpms dropped, the car stalled. Then it started back up and still the rpms dropped but it didn't stall this time. If you have any ideas please let me know. It wasn't acting like this before I put the throttle position sensor in.

map sensor?

i had the same problem as far as my civic would stop at around 5500rpm and the car would stall on me. I took it to a shop and they replaced my Map sensor and everything is fine now.

Mine doesn't stop, it just like accelerates quickly (turbo) then when it hits 5500 it slows down then at around 58-5900 it picks back up.

You've got a lot of issues with this car, hope you got it for a lot less than what the seller was asking...

for the idling problem, you're TPS is probably not adjusted properly. if you notice the TPS has slotted holes. adjust it to where the car is running at a reasonable rpm. then tighten down the tps and then do an idle learn procedure

This, as well as timing, too. MAP/MAF is definitely a good culprit for flat spots. Buddy of mine just boosted his Del Sol, and had this issue with a custom mapped ECU (which pissed him off bad lol). After timing, replacing with a known stock and good ECU, cleaning fuel rail/fuel injectors/fuel filter, and even retarding the timing, it turned out to be a bad spark plug wire. Weird.

Well I know i just replaced the spark plug wire lol. My local shop told me that it could be the idle control valve and if I take it off and clean it it may work right. It runs beautifully and the dead spot in the acceleration is gone now with the new tps. It just does that weird thing when you first start it up when the rpms dip right down then go back to 1000 and idle.

I don't know where the plug is on this car. It has a chipped p28 ecu. I found out that if I start it and rev it up the light won't come on but if I keep revving it, it almost doesn't want to respond to throttle as much. Then the rpms drop again and the cel comes on

If its obd1 you use the service connector, it's far right side up under the glove box, the plug is green. You jump it with a paper clip.

could be tps too..but it can be a bad catalytic converter too if you're running stock. could be clogged....this is what happen to my brother's ride 2 days ago. feels really weak. reving wont go past 4000 rpm

It doesnt stop revving. It just HAD a dead spot where the acceleration would slow down and then pick right back up again. My problem now is that when I first start it the rpms dive to almost nothing and the car almost stalls out then the rpms pick back up and idle at 1000. My problem is, why does it dive to nothing and almost stall?

The motor is an Integra 1.8 gsr vtec with a type r head. I was told I could have got the wrong tps because I got one for a 94 vtec 1.8
