Not much more "today" left before today is tomorrow. Stop redlining through vtec and share with your fellow civic enthusiasts

"today" was forever ago. what's the status of this thing?
It won't start. The distributor is wigging out and is trying to be on while starting. The motor is getting fuel and holding compression though, which makes me feel so much better. At least I know that the dizzy freaking out is mostly a fault of my wiring job versus something I wouldn't expect. Also the Crank Postition Sensor is messed up, I'm getting a new map burned and I'm investigating now.
And I realized the engine speed output wire was supposed to be wired how I thought originally, so I just have to fix that. I'll upload pictures soon.

Work party.

Flywheel on

Clutch

... and my reward for when it starts. Thanks to Tim.

Tranny on

Seems legit.

So I cut the plug off my D series and started wiring it onto this distributor

Time to macguyver this beezy in. With two people and a jack

Sooooo sketch.

How it's sitting currently, except the downpipe is on now.

Going back to the grind after work tonight. Might've solved the starting issue!

this is kinda opposite the mentality on everything else you've done.

you should solder those connections and at least use some shrink wrap around it. electrical tape just doesn't cut it

:D Started up last night. needs a valve adjustment and one of the torque mounts, and I had to run it on an Eric's map. Also the exhaust doesn't quite line up (one of three bolts) and for some odd reason the front end doesn't line up :2confused
But I drove it home last night and drove it to work this morning. Even with a test pipe and exhaustleak its SOOOO much quieter. I've only put 40 miles on it, but man it feels good! I feel likea newb with the new clutch too
Will post pictures and I've been asked to do a video feature when the swap was done. You guys will definitely be seeing it soon!!

HE LIVEEEEEEEEES.
