And then Billy won a million frickin dollars!
And then Billy won a million frickin dollars!
I said Billy won a million dollars!
A million dollars!
This. The men who serve on the front lines in combat, and the men and women who support them are heros. We have real life superheros standing up for us everyday since this country was founded. It's called our military.
We aren't comparing it's just a different situation. One that someone "fake" can actually do something aboutI just read more of this thread. Are we really comparing fake superheros, to men and women who put their lives on the line for the rest of us for relatively sh*t pay?
I wasn't comparing. It's 2 completely different situations. It's like trying to compare apples to oranges.This. The men who serve on the front lines in combat, and the men and women who support them are heros.

Can you elucidate please? This. The men who serve on the front lines in combat, and the men and women who support them are heros.
I'm pretty sure I understand where you're going with this. Support roles are obviously not the ones killing the bad guys and saving lives. But they're supporting those who are. Although I have even more respect for those on the front lines and near the front lines, those in support roles deserve respect as well. Without them, our troops on the front lines wouldn't receive supplies such as ammo, fuel, and food, wouldn't have any way to communicate, and their form of transportation would be extremely limited. We need troops on the front line, but we need people to support them as well. Can you elucidate please?
Being on a carrier hundreds of miles away from the coast doesn't justify the meaning of heros.
its a win win man. He cares though. i think just about anyone with a soul would care about what happen to those people.I only hope he's not doing it as a publicity stunt, and because he actually cares.
I know what you're getting at. But when our squadron was deployed on the carrier, all we did was circles around the pacific. No where near the middle east. We weren't supporting anyone. When the aircraft flew everyday guess what they did. The same thing. I personally don't like it when people say to me "Thank you for your service." I don't tell them anything because I know I didn't do anything. And it's just not me. I know a lot of people who feel the same way.I'm pretty sure I understand where you're going with this. Simple version. Alfred ain't no hero, but without Alfred we wouldn't have Batman.
I've actually had people thank me as well, all I say is that I've just signed my name and haven't done anything yet. I leave in September. Shoot me a PM with more details about what branch you did and what your job was and whatnot.I know what you're getting at.
