I've found a few h22's for about $1,800 but someone said the parts for them were expensive? or something
If it was just a h22 longblock, then you'd need a h2b kit to use your transmission with it, and that's over a thousand bucks by itself. The other mounts and modifications just to put the motor in is going to drive the price up. Aftermarket parts are few and far between when compared to a b series so they tend to cost a bit more.

Alright I understand. So what would you suggest I do with about a $2k budget

I'd save a little more and turbocharge your motor.

Find a gsr short block and make a gsr frank with some cams and valve springs and a good tune that would be under 2k

That would be a "poor mans type r". A little more money on a turbo setup would blow a gsr mix away.

Good suggestion though, just considering bang for the buck.

if you take you time and shop around you can put together a nice turbo set up for around a grand or so.

so options with your money are

1. save a lil more for turbo

2. go the NA and buy internals

sounds like a plan to me :D

when is this build going to start? ^.^

I agree 100% but im into all motor and i have a pmr thats why i suggested it because its more reliable than an lsv or b20v in my oppinion and can make good power with a set of cams pistons and supporting mods, on a side note wouldnt a pmr be type r internals and as a gsr frank would be say skunk 2 internals with wiseco pistons and some other nonsense ? Or is it still called the same because the head and block are the same casting ?, also going turbo would mean a diffrent clutch most likely and a non ebay turbo setup is spendy so bang for ur buck would most likly be a simple all motor setup around 200whp ?
