who knows, a place like MMI might just be the hook up you need to land a jobI am ASE certified (automotive) and have had a wrench in my hand most of my life. Training isn't the issue, it's the lack of jobs.
Now if you meant for a change of scenery, and somewhat of a career change, I appreciate the input and have considered the option.
I am about 45 minutes away from both Orlando and Daytona Beach (the original MMI) but, as started previously, finances won't allow for paid training at this time. If nothing else, I'll be going to bar tending school, when finances allow.

This is true, however, most schools only help former students. Still gonna check it out though.

Hoping I can work things out w/ the lady friend and get back on that kind of track.
Obviously just look all around before you make that big of a leap. Seems like there's gotta be something still in-state unless there's family out that way to help you guys some.

Yea, I know. I've been here most of my life. The best I ever did financially was in TN, but I'll never go back there. 113k a year be damned, if I run into my ex wife, I'll probably go to prison, for a very long time.
I have an aunt and uncle about 2 hours away from the area I'm looking at, and the housing looks to be about the same price as it is here, so, add in the much needed income, and it looks to be a good idea.

She's a hostess at the hospital. Basically, she takes the patients their food orders. Prior to that she was a bank teller, prior to that, she worked at Publix (grocery store)

My son just went down for his evening nap, so I figured I'd give y'all a lil update:
Buyer came and took delivery on the "extra" d15b7 last night. Gave 3/4 of the money to my wife to catch up on bills, using the rest to finish up the other d15b7 to put it in my coupe. Got a few promising leads on jobs, but all are out of town, which is why I'm getting the coupe on the road. Just a stock rebuild for now, I'll address any other issues when our financial situation is better Sale pending on complete set of belts from the coupe. I don't use the rears anyway (except the center belt, for car seat) front belts from the hatch will be going in the coupe upon sale. The EM2 needs an alignment asap, so I'm hoping to hear from a shop soon, I miss having an alignment rack and tire machine at my disposal lol.
Other than that, same old, same old. I'm considering doing a DIY for the rebuild, but don't know a whole hell of a lot about posting pics, and it'd be a shitty how to if it's just a bunch of pictures followed by directions...
Anyway, have a good night everybody, I think I'm gonna be a good little house b***h and go clean the kitchen lol

With as much trouble as I'm having finding work, and as much ask it'll be a pain in the ass with one car, I gotta do something to keep my head above water.My parts I ordered should be in friday, and I can put the engine back together and in the car this weekend, and then just a quick shakedown, and it's goin on craigslist. I'm going to ask $1500 for it. I think that is more than reasonable for a 94 w/129k on the body and maybe 10 miles on the engine, more or less depending on how far I go on the test drive.

That's the first thing I saw this morning when I walked into the office at Sohcclubkid's employer :/ I turned in a resume anyway, and he put his name on it as a reference. I think I thanked him like 5 times lol but yea, now it's a waiting game, just like every other place I've applied :/
