x2 Thats how I do it in the USAF if tools get dropped in jets. Tie a string to it tooIs this for real? You created a thread to help you find your engine oil cap lost in your bay some place? Now THAT is comedy. Ok, here's what you do. Go to your closest auto store and buy a new cap for ~$10. Bring it back to your car, screw it half way on, then un screw it and let it roll off the valve cover. Where it lands will likely be the spot of your missing cap. If that doesn't work, try it again, but maybe give it a little help and push it off the other side. That's how I used to find lost tools when working on commercial jets for Boeing anyway.... That's how everyone does it right?
X3 Navy here we had stupid safety wires on all of our tools... Dropping components though, yea, you better find that s**t, or somebodyx2 Thats how I do it in the USAF if tools get dropped in jets. Tie a string to it too
Yup, I want going to say anything, but I totally agreeThis is kind of an astonishing thread... this stuff seems incredibly self-explanatory...
