I've never been impressed by poor man's Type-R's. I'll take a B20V instead haha.He's got a poor man's R

GSR block with a b16 head is a poor man's R. A non-v block with a VTEC head is either an LS-V or B20-VOkay is a poor mans type r a GSR block with a b16 head or a non VTEC block with a VTEC head. I've seen both arguments on H-T
I'm personally a fan.So a B20V would be the way to go, then? My d16y8 just isn't enough (obviously)
s*** id be happy with a turboed gsr
Even then, I wouldn't be comfortable boosting a stock GSR bottom end past say 10lbs on a t3/t4. They're beefier than their 1.6l cousins, but still not that great for FI. I would go N/A B20V and shoot for a high-rev build.. go for like 280whpb20v's are nice if you want n/a, but not recommended if you want boost at all.
id love to turbo poor mans r though
you can only rev as high as your weakest component, so your b20 red line would be your limit for revs unless you upgrade it. and unless the b20/v has work done it wont make 280whp. atleast i havent seen a stock one that has. local near me dynoed right near 200Even then, I wouldn't be comfortable boosting a stock GSR bottom end past say 10lbs on a t3/t4. I can make things go away just for you baby , plus you have a good thing going on with that Gsr..........I don't really have a lot going on right now Stressed with other things in life, and losing drive with the coupe...

Sent from my civic using a stock engine

Right, I didn't mean a stock b20v haha. I think the highest I've seen a stock one go is maybe 200? I probably should have reiterated that post lol. I meant, if I were going to choose between building a poor man's Type-R, or a b20v and going all out on the build, I'd go with a b20v and try to make as much power as possible.a 280whp b20v is a fully built machine. I haven't seen one that high personally, but around the 250-260's. H2B's i've seen around the 280's, but still built up pretty good.
Crash! get off nwp and throw some updates at us!
Girl, pull yo s**t together! You needa da lovin you long time!? I love you long time.I don't really have a lot going on right now Stressed with other things in life, and losing drive with the coupe...
