But see thats where i screw myself.

I always have to throw it together and then go back and redo something later.

Im trying to get everything finished.

So the truck will be going without a bed and im working on buttoning everything up. Whatever isnt done just isnt going to get done right now. Im going for a solid truck and it doesnt represent well when everytime it goes on a trailer something breaks cuz it wasnt fully welded or whatever.

But everytime i go to finish something then im missing something and have to order it or run all over town.

So im trying to make extensive lists of what i need so i can get most of ut in one bunch and save time.

The stress is killing me though. Im ready to drive this thing already.
in my eyes it'll be likem y truck, never complete. you're always gonna wanna one up what you've already done, always gonna wanna make it just that much better. there for i say get it to a point where your content with it right now then get out and enjoy the damn thing! and when you feel like you have enough stuff youd like to knock it out of commission and do to it then do it!
Well i did get some stuff accomplished today...

Aside from the other pics i posted already today...

Got two out of 3 pulleys installed. Gotta get a new shiny alternator before i can install the last one.

And then i got my external battery terminals mounted.

Been thinking of where i was gonna put them for a long time now. Finally decided on this...

Im off tomorrow but ive got my daughter and i cant really work on my truck with her around but we will see i guess.

Hopefully i get more done sunday!
the bay is gonna look sick! staying tuned in for more updates!

What are those thingys? Looking good! You have been saying that shiny alternator for a while now =P
Those thingys are my battery terminals.

The battery is relicated and will be underneath the bed with no access to jump start or whatever if need be.

So these terminals are there for easy jumper connection and semi race styling!

And i will get a new alternator when i damn well please!

This truck will be done done.
After it sees final paint and such then it will be enjoyed and maintained so i can move on to my next project.

The last time this truck was sonewhat done and i could drive it and enjoy it and then i started tearing into it again was three years ago lol.

The time has come for it to be complete.

But i appreciate the good words!

Well today i didnt get much done...

But i went and bought some tools and an ALTERNATOR!

They never have rx7 parts in stock locally so it was ordered and will be here on like wednesday.

Then i had my brother come over and help me remove my bed...

Viscious cycle. Seems like i just had the bed off and in this same place...

Tomorrow i do work!

Looks good man. How did you end up getting that rear end out of your truck?
:rolf: theres a funny story in itself.

My neighbors have got to think im on drugs or just plain crazy.

So i pretty much bear hugged the tire nearest me. Lifted as much as i could and then dragged it as far as i could. After a few drags i got the suspension to travel and the tire was on the ground.

Then i got in the bed of my truck and lifted until it was perpendicular to the ground and stood up by itself laying on the face of the rim.

I then hopped down and grabbed the wheel that was in the air and slowly brought it down. Then i lifted up the center section and put a roller dolly under it do i could roll it since the center section will lay out on the ground unless something is under it.

Pretty interesting process but i think ive shown that u can do almost anything by yourself if u have to.

I shouldve snapped some pics, but i was in a hurry.

Haha sounds like quite a process. Shows what a little ingenuity can do for you :thumbs up

I'm hoping you're planning to start mocking it up tomorrow...?

Nope. The IRS wont get started until after my little trip to Denver on the 24th.

It is going to take a lot of thought and will be an over winter project.

I will be totally redoing the frame and i have to shorten then tbird rearend 6 inches to get it to clear the fenders in the rear.

For right now i am concentrating on getting all the stuff that i have started but havent completed done from the grill backwards. The truck will be going to denver without a bed so that is one less area i have to worry about so im not jumping back and forth on things.
