so in oregon where i live our junkyards pull the engines before they get put into the yard. do junkyards elsewhere leave the engines in? because if i ever want an engine harness i gotta pray that they havent cut it to get the engine out.

This was the first junkyard I've been to. I'm in Virginia right now for school. If you are interested, I could try to get you an engine harness from the junkyard then sell/ship it to you when I get home for Thanksgiving.

Do you guys think I should paint my engine bay this color?

I really like it, but I'm not sure how it would look with red...

Thats like the same color that 2slows was on the outside and he had a red bay.

So it would be a color swap. I think it would look bice

I like grey and red. I say do it!
Strut bar kills it but it looks good
I really like that color for the bay, I'm still on the fence about how it goes with the red...

I was gonna do my engine bay that color! But im not anymore! Go for it Reed!
You can still do it too haha, I'm not going to stop you.

If I were to do it, it would be rattle canned. The first two pictures I posted were spray painted. It can turn out surprisingly well if it is prepped correctly. Also, I eventually plan to have the rear half of my interior stripped and no carpet, so I would do all that in this color too. Later on down the road, I would have it all painted professionally, but for now, I think spray paint would look decent.

I think it looks clean. Go for it, just make sure you have enough coats of spray on there, and make sure it is 100% cleaned and prepped properly before you do it.

Just clear the s*** out of it!
Haha that's always an option. Then if it started to flake, it would be the clear and not the base

Exactly, a good paint job is all in the prep work.
