I have mine mounted in the seat belt slots in the rear as well. I I have checked into harness bars even ordered one from nrg. I didn't like the placement of it. In order for me to use it I would be crammed in the front with no leg room.

Yeah on coupes it's mounted weird. But I guess you could custom make one too :what:

My eyelet bolts are in the rear seatbelt lower holes like the instructions say. A harness bar is great but not needed in every application. No doubt it's more safe and stronger though. It's like comparing a 4 point roll cage to a 5 point cage. Both are safe but the extra bar is better than the other.

That's exactly how I have mine mounted.

My apologies then. The way I explained it and you went off that made it sound as if you had it mounted to the front seat bolts going straight down. Which I have seen many times.

That's the dumbest way to have it mounted. Hello snapped collarbones.

Isn't the harness supposed to be at a 90 degree angle? Not to the floor

Woooooweeee!! What did I miss?!

No nothing for the coupe for Christmas besides the Takata. Everything else I want is too expensive and I wouldn't expect anyone to get it for me. So I get paid today and I'm ordering my charge piping for the turbo kit.

For those who are wondering, I have my harness bolted to the points on the floor where the rear seatbelt is bolted down. I have some slack to my harness (enough to check my blind spots and such) but not a terrible amount. I like to feel secure in my seat.
As far as the harness bar goes, I've thought about running one. Although one, I like to have a third passenger in my car, and two, I'm hesistant about running bars in my interior without going full on with a cage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just feel that's not safe. I hate kids who put cages in their car and say "look Ma! It's safe!" when your skull will be bouncing off it like a pinball machine in a wreck. I'm wondering if the harness bar will have the same risk (probably not as much). And yes, the harnesses I have are FIA approved.

CHILD, how did you run yours? From what I've read/heard, from where I have mine mounted is fine. And my car won't be seeing the track for quite some time.
Actually you are correct on the cage. Cages can be very dangerous as well as safe. Just like harnesses they are very safe if done properly, but if not they can be more of a hazard. When you run a cage its suppose to be padded. Now in a full out track car its a different story because you have on a helmet.

Edit: yes they are suppose to be, but you'd be surprised at how many people mount them like that. Actually its a great place to mount them. What better place than a factory location you know is strong enough? That's where the harness bar comes into place though.

^^^ that is off topic.

I like crash!'s car with her newly installed harness. :P

You need to break out that 50mm lens you've been using so much and take more pics

Thank you =)

I know I need to go CHILD-style with the picture updates...

I haven't shot in so long! Now I'm trying to decide if I should order window visors or get charge piping for the turbo...:?:

I leave for Christmas vacation, and come back to chaos lol. You guys are crazy. I know I'm :deadhorse2: here, but I have to chime in. This is just my opinion, so no offense to those of you who feel differently, but harnesses are completely retarded unless you are tracking. I understand the safety yadda yadda, but not many of us are making 400+whp on our dailies, now are we?

K, I'm done! /endrant :D

Good, I was going to be upset if you were taking it down to 9:1. Stupidest thing I see friends do, over and over.
