Haha! Thanks homie, but I may just hold off and mount it with my new front bumper that I haven't painted yet. It's in my basement with all the other spare parts and such.
Hey Reed, do you play halo by chance?
I've played before, but unfortunately I don't really have much time to play video games. Plus I have a PS3, not an xbox :( Sorry dude

No worries, I guess I'm going to just go for the swap with my tax return Instead of buying another car. Also, I won't be getting the second part time job in he body shop. The guy who was leaving is just a retarded redneck and got gun shy when he had to sign up for school. I've been trying to get that job for 10 months and it seems everything always f**ks up.

Sweet man I look forward to seeing your swap get done. It'll be some motivation for me to get mine done haha. Sucks about the body shop, but keep trying. If nothing else, the owner will realize how persistent you are.

Thanks man. I think we will be getting done with our b16's about the same time lol! He 2nd job was going to be for straight car funds. This puts a damper on my plans now after assuming I had the job. Oh well. I guess I'll be back into an Mma gym some where and try to detail cars on the side for extra dough!

I'm hoping for early summer at best for my swap to be running. Yeah, I guess its not terrible that you didn't get the other job, but it definitely would have been nice to have the extra money.

^for real man would've sped it up dramatically.

Had a break in the weather here, so I put a 110% into a good detail and wa. Today at the car wash, spent 4 hours and it really needed it. Some local kid that drives a 94 eBay turbo hatch said "why do all that cleaning if your motor is stock?"

Well the roar from the rod bearings is getting progressively worse. I'm waiting on my tax return money to buy a motor swap, my car is the only vehicle I have and I need it to stay on the road. I could get a second car or try to get a b16 which I e wanted forever, or may e go with a b18b swap. I'll be ordering the swap from h motors and wanted to hear everyone's input.

I've got a b18b swapped hatch and it's super reliable if you're not banging on it, plus b18b is the strongest b series block if you wanted to boost it.

Car looks nice and clean man. I would vote for the B16. If you're going b series you might as well get the engine you want.

Lol, ls is not the strongest block. Its just low compression and larger displacement compared to a b16.

Op, if your getting your motor from hmotors, then you're straight. It'll be in excellent condition. Just get the motor you really want even if it means saving up a little bit more after taxes

Thank you guys for the kind words!
I really just want a b16 but if I can't afford it ill have to rely on the sohc to hold up until I can, but I don't know how long that would be, so I'm wondering if I should save for the swap or get a b18b. I wanted to upgrade my brakes and fix he poping in the steering before the swap but I don't know how long it will hold up so I'm going to do the swap first.

Since it seems like your motor is about to go I would definitely say swap first. If you do the b18b, it will end up being more money in the long run.

Indeed. I'll try to save as much as I can then. Thanks for the support man, I guess I'll just see how this all plays out and pinch pennies.

Got bored and made this today describing how things are going

Nah, really though I'm getting laid off but already found a way to improve my financial situation. So I'm planning on ordering the h motors complete changeover sir2 b16a. My question is, will the oem harness that comes with the swap be plug and play for my 96 cx, since I plan on using the jdm ecu as well? Or will I have some wireing to do? I'm doing the swap at home and I'm wanting the harness to be plug and play so I can't mess it up. Thank you in advance for your responses!

Lol, must have been bored

Glad you figured out the financial situation and can move on with the build. As far as the harness goes, I don't think it will work because the harness is for a rhd car. If you find a harness for a 96-98 Civic EX 5-speed it will be plug and play.
