Civic DX cluster to si cluster

Mine is out of a 98 ex I was worried when I bought it but just happened to be a good deal. Your looking for 98-00 right

I personally wanted the tach just to have it. I like to know what my cars idle is I guess.

sorry im in nebraska dont have those laws once the titles exemt

Exempt or not, it's still illegal to tamper with an odometer. It doesn't have to do with state law, it's a FEDERAL offense.

I was simply stating my opinion. Ive been to the dmv twice, once when I registered it and once after this thread. The SHERIFF at the counter helped me. Told her my concerns she said ''If the title was not already exemt it would,like EKfour stated, have to be taken to a certified mechanic and a sticker on the door jam, But if it is exemt there is no way to verify the milage so it would be very hard to determine who put it in and told me not to worry about it'' and if the feds have time to single me out for buying a cluster and not spending 100 bucks to have it put it in so be it although the cluster in it now has 5000 more miles than my old one and I still got it for proof, pics before I took it out and when I first bought the car and the pics from when installing the new one FOR A TACH take me to jail for screwing myself.

I just got off the phone did this for nebraskans that are worried and sorry I listend to the sheriff. Tallked to a seargent and he says that I can go to the dmv and have the title changed to say not actual miles instead of exemt or pay the mech and apply dmv for a sticker or swap just the odometer gauge to new cluster!!!!

Once again my bad that will be the last time I go up to bat without triple checking myself.
