Hahahaha I know! His logic is why pay for one when this will work for now! Thanks man I'm very excited at how they turned out! I'm gonna try and get an 00 si rear sway bar from guy I know that deals cars. I don't know what I'm gonna do as far as he motor goes, I may just keep it for a while untill it goes kaput. I know its not practical but I'm really leaning toward some +20 offset 15's I've found for cheap. And get everything else that needs to be replaced as well, steering column, climate control panel, and get some new rear lca's.

Some chikara wheels off eBay, gunmetal face with polished 2.75" lip. My friend who has a couple nissans said I borrow his fender rolling machine, and my other friend with a stance s2000 said he would help me roll and fit the wheels in a couple weeks. The wheels are only 450$ I figure I get a couple cosmetics and replace the remaining broken/missing parts on my civic. Then start saving towards a motor. I'm gonna ride with my brother to work now that he has a car, he got a job there about a month and a half ago. Now I can my little y7 a break lol

Eh.. A couple doods are running xxrs and such, and I can easily flip em if something messes up. It's all the same stuff, rota/xxr/drag. I understand the risk of getting what you pay for, but I'd like to change up the look for a bit, without spending too much.

I'll run steelies until I can afford the rims I want haha.
And that's smart if you plan to keep your car forever, but I'm kinda realizing I want to have fun with this car but not dump extreme amounts of money into it. The charger I detailed, my unlcle had spent 30-35k$ and 8 years sourceing, rebuilding and restoring that car. He got laid off and is on disability, and sold it for 18k$. Anything can happen, you could hit a pothole at 60mph and warp the bell on your brand new works one summer just spirited driving, if I do it on eBay wheels, its 98$ shipped for a new one.

Valid argument. You are right, I don't plan to sell my car.

I don't plan on selling mine either any time soon. But I know in a few years you'll get a job with that brand new college degree and your paycheck a will cover the cost of new authentic wheels easy! Lol

My first couple years of paychecks will go to pay back student loans, but then after that hopefully they can go to my car haha.

Jeeeeez this guy is so hard to get ahold of. I'm not gonna get crappy cheap wheels, I just keep getting indecisive since this guys gives me the run around. I need to get a new steering column, climate control, rear si swaybar and all four discs brakes from the si. That's all I'm concerned with right now, then saving for the motor. Man patience is hard when I can't even get a break, I've got cash for the guy he just never answers his phone whenever I call him after setting up a time to go pull the parts.

It's a bit harder to damage forged parts versus cast. I do see the overall point though, but then that just triggers the thoughts of high quality low priced wheels, for instance, Enkei. They manufacture a s**t load of oem wheels so they are pretty damn tough and easy on the wallet. ;)
