I would stick the Hmotors swap. It may not be the engine you want, but at least you are 100% sure it is in great condition.
Yeah, I do only daily my car for now anyways. I think I'm going to look at turbo set ups for it.. Or swap a b16 head on with eagle rods and p30 pistons

TURBO 7psi untuned is fun, I could only imagine a tune
I know!!! I think I may have to go this route!! First things first is to get the swap ordered, then all the tidbits I need to swap. Then save for boost.

All I'm saying is boosting a honda is surprisingly easy. I know I wasn't there for a good chunk of mine, but it is mostly replacing a few stock bits with turbo bits and a few conversions if need be. A little research for what you want and a tune g2g

Oh really? I was doing heavy research before about trying to turbo my D, I could after all just order the zc sohc swap from Hmotors and a new trans for 950+ shipping, sell my old y7 and put that money towards a sohc turbo set up! Plus the zc has a simar intake plenum to the z6 and a slightly more aggressive cam.:P

Yep. Only real time consuming parts were upgrading my clutch and head studs. The intake mani set up was a little pain but thats because i never upgraded from my y7.

Sweet, I can do the head studs and clutch before installing it and whatever else I will need for it. I think I'm going to go back and re-read your build thread then. I've really wanted turbo since i was a kid, and I guess that now would be as good a time as any. I don't want much, just a daily driver tuned for reliability.

I have a disassembled b18b1 2000spec originally automatic.
Oh yeah you do! I'm playing around with ideas right now. I'm not really sure what to do cause of finances. I'm deffinately going to keep saving as much as I can untill I figure it out.

D series and turbo is the most cost effective power period. Build parts, replacement parts, and so on are so cheap. Plus a slight build will allow you to make more power than you can probably put to good use on the street.

If you went with the LS, i wouldn't swap heads, and I'd just build it for boost. I know I'm old, so i remember guys like "cheesefrog" with a crazy fast ek hatch that was just a built LS turbo hanging with a dodge viper. If that isn't enough daily drivable power.........then you need a K lol =)

Vtec and turbo is pointless. Plus it makes it harder to tune for street use.

Nothing wrong with a d, but stepping up to a B makes things so much easier.

So do you guys think a turbo d, or b16, would be most fun and bang for the buck?

I'm just gonna save money for a while... I checked my control arms, the paint was cheap and it chips, I'm gonna go buy good paint and re coat. Whenever that's done I'll have pics of them up with bushings.
