how much dmg is there to the crank and block? any material in the oil passages?
Well there were shavings in the oil pan. Haven't taken the crank apart yet.

Super sexy Civic and that spark plug cover! I love cityscapes and that looks great.
Thanks!

Just a clean up. I'm going to fill some holes that were made not from the factory, clean up the sides of the bay. I don't have the time nor the skill level to try to paint the firewall. And after I cleaned the hell out of it it turned out pretty nice. And I'm going to re-route some of the wires, but not a full wire tuck.
As far as the motor goes, just going to do an OEM rebuild. Crank kit, rings, and replacing the bad rod. I don't have the money nor the time right now to fully build this bottom end. But I'm going to get an LS or another GSR bottom end and fully build that one for tracking and whatnot.

Anddddd did you ever decide if you wanted to stay in the automotive field?

Just asap.

And still not sure. I found a few office/data entry jobs that pay decently... but I'd be bored out of my f***ing mind. But it'd be Monday through Friday, bankers hours, and hourly pay. Not 100% commission.
Boyfriends still pushing me to get back into automotive, but I'm just not sure.

jobs like that you can still enjoy if your coworkers are enjoyable.

pick what you want to do yourself. your bf can do whatever he wants and you can do whatever you want. you might not even stay with him by the time u get another job.

It's not for his benefit, it's for mine. He knows I love it.

you didn't seem to terribly in love with your previous job and that was at a dealership wasn't it?
I love service writing, just that dealer was particularly stressful.

Going out to work on it again today. Going to clear coat the bay and finish up the wheels. After that I just have to order parts then the motor is back in! :woot: I miss this thing so much.
