I definitely could be doing more, but I'm waiting on parts and I've been job hunting. But I'm going to take a break from the jobs (since maybehopefullypossibly) because I may have my DREAM JOB. But we'll see.

I'm going out today. Going to get the piston pressed onto the rod, and start disassembling the block, then look for a shop that will micropolish the crank.

spray painted wheels never seem to impress me too much, always get fubed up pretty fast. but i understand powder coating rotas, is more expensive than the rims were in the first place lol. glad you took the stickers off. it was kinda hood ;)

which leads me to a paradox, how does rota powder coat the rims and sell them for less than the cost of powder coating lol

Finished the rear wheels, took all my stickers off the car, got my R crank, and got my #3 rod this morning. Need to micropolish the crank, measure it for bearings, order rings, get my flywheel resurfaced, order a new clutch (mine got f***ed somehow. I'm not sure but I'm not happy about it) and new seals.

Oh, and there's the culprit bearing.
Holy HHHNNGGGHHHHH

I'm surprised that thing didn't cause more damage. That is pretty thrashed.

ok good. i didnt read that anywhere
Oh sorry. I'm doing it. Once I get the rings I'll get all that handled.

Also taking my old rod to the machine shop today. Apparently you can't press an old piston onto a new rod? :what: This is news to me.

that would be false, you can. though if you bent the wrist pin that could make a problem

Well, he offered to machine the old rod for a lot cheaper :what:
well that works.

i wonder if it was an issue with bore sizes. i cant think right now, machining stuff in class i found pretty boring
