You should look into installing a battery disconnect switch or circuit breaker that can be used as a switch on your positive line. they are easy to install and will save you the need to go through the trouble of disconnecting wires every time you want to work under the hood.I know I know I was in a hurry. I usually always disconnect mine tooBut I'm so scary broke I can't afford a main relay right now.
doesn't sound like luck was involved at all. you're smart enough to know why it happened. i'm kind of surprised it did happen since you put so much time into rebuilding the car up to this point. only to take a silly risk and end up here.

And it's the fact that I literally have zero money to fix it. I was riding the CB550 to run errands because it's cheap to fill up.Damn that sucks

Coupe is back 
It was the main fuse. I totally thought I tested the main fuse and was thinking it was the relay. Little did I know main relay = fuel pump relay, which wasn't right. I keep forgetting how awesome it feels do drive versus an 8 valve Golf.
I need to do valve stem seals and the engine coolant temp sensor before I head over to eastern Washington Memorial day weekend. Boyfriend wants to take the coupe over there since it's way more fun to drive.

don't forget. battery disconnect switch. you'll want one if you relocate the battery one of these days. get that big brick out of the engine bay. (should of done it when u had the motor out)
