You should look into installing a battery disconnect switch or circuit breaker that can be used as a switch on your positive line. they are easy to install and will save you the need to go through the trouble of disconnecting wires every time you want to work under the hood.I know I know I was in a hurry. I usually always disconnect mine too But I'm so scary broke I can't afford a main relay right now.
doesn't sound like luck was involved at all. you're smart enough to know why it happened. i'm kind of surprised it did happen since you put so much time into rebuilding the car up to this point. only to take a silly risk and end up here.Seriously. I know...don't forget. battery disconnect switch. you'll want one if you relocate the battery one of these days. get that big brick out of the engine bay. (should of done it when u had the motor out)
