My little order arrived today! Nothing special but I'm really glad I got it, I ordered a Karcepts anodized aluminum shift knob, and an eBay shifter extension, super different shift feel, but I like it, its so much more comfortable than reaching for the floor, and I feel like I shift faster not having to reach so far, since I always drive at 9 and 3 on the wheel. Over all I dig the crap out of it!

YEAH Karcepts! :ok::headbang::drive:

knob looks good, but it's gonna get hella hot in the summer sun.
It depends if that's the Delrin knob or not. Karcepts sells a super lightweight shift knob made out of Delrin, which is a high strength plastic that does not conduct as much heat as aluminum or steel. I have the Karcepts Black Delrin in both of my race cars. Even in my black car the knob doesn't get very hot to the touch. Check them out, tell them AJ sent ya :thumbs up

glad they make them in Delrin, but he stated he picked up the aluminum version. My brother had an aluminum weighted knob in his 1st gen Integra, and had to keep a small towel in the center console so he could protect his hand on hot summer days. Looks good, but not worth the hassle for me. Gets too damned hot in Texas in the summer. Thought about picking up one of the Spoon Ducacon knobs, if I decide to stray from OEM

Type R has a completely different knob, nothing stitched about it. There's also another in the lower models that is skinny at the bottom and large at the top.

I'd like to get a short throw shifter for the 99. Had one in the 92, and loved it. Went I got the 99, felt like I was rowing a boat whenever I changed gears. Have gotten used to it now, but still would like to go back to the shorter throw. Thinking perhaps Buddy Club this time? Appears it has a bearing where the shifter bolt goes through

I wanted to get the k tuned shifter! How is that thing man? I've always wanted to find something that " Shifts like the bolt action on a well oiled rifle." -Richard Hammond

Lol! It looks pretty solid, I can re use the knob down the road, the extender was shits and giggles, but I like it a lot.

its real nice. made very well and real solid. shifts are super smooth and short. i have mine set to the shortest throw possible and with the exception of 5th gear its pretty much just moving my wrist to shift into gears.
