I got tired of messing with this thing and couldn't figure out how to de pin the harness plugs to run the loom through the rear panel to tuck it, so I just installed everything like normal, here's everything back together.
I painted the fuel pump cover with duplicolor silver paint and cleared it, the duplicolor paint was way more finicky than the car paint I used.
Well I think it turned out freaking awesome, I made sure to do the prep work as good as I could for a garage job, and tried to spray with long, even, overlapping strokes. Its like a 96% perfect match to my door jambs when I compare, I'm really happy with it.
Thinking about getting a knock off "X" brace rear strut bar for the rear now... Just for looks.
That looks amazing man! Are you planning on not running the spare tire? I really want to do this, but I don't know if I can get rid of my back seats...

Yeah, I'm gonna leave the rear seats out and pick up a knock-off "x"-bar off eBay or something, then my bucket seat, then steering wheel, then pedals. It was pretty easy for me to get rid of the rear seats, Ive ridden back there and it sucks, plus whoever rides in the back always makes a mess somehow so I can keep my eye on the front guy lol, that and I rarely ever have anyone ride with me anyways, I always work and don't get to do much.
something about the X brace I personally don't like. this is what I eventually want to have, well at least the floor section anyways, have to have my backseat for my kids to sit in lol
Nice build man! You've came along way... It looks great! I just picked up a 96 roma red cx for my daily and I love it! I always wanted a ek hatch. Did you decide on what swap you want?
Cool man thank you very much and awesome pick up! I'm problably just go na go with a bone stock b16 swap with intake/header for reliability and longevity. I've got to figure out my brake situation, and then finish up my interior and I will be saving for the swap. But I'm gonna take my time and buy nice b series swap parts like a full custom harness, mounts, and do a mild tuck and re spray the bay. I might paint the bay battleship grey LOL
Yea... I have to work on my interior, I'm trying to pick up some ep3 seats. I have a B18c R swap and it does great for a daily! Granted its all stock internals. But it's quick and mean lol!
