why willwood, i seem to remember them failing a lot in the past? i know they are still around so i assume they got better, but it seems like a stoptech or a brembo kind of build
They are not the same rotor or caliper build, they are light weight, and more than enough brake force. Also their rear disc upgrade is designed to work perfectly with this front bbk. Also a lot of those other popular bbk's are for the ex/si knuckles. I'd rather go with alcon or ap for a massive brake setup.
Well, besides the blingingly obvious heart transplant. Those downstar bolts look killer. I assume they are all SS?
Yeah they are stainless.

so you are not upgrading the knuckles to accommodate the bigger rotor mass?

The knuckles aren't larger, the caliper brackets are different. Plus, although the rotor is larger and wider, its much much lighter, so its less stress overall. A lighter caliper too.

These knuckles require an adapter to get proper caliper placement over the larger rotors

Doesn't wilwood make a smaller brake kit now that fits 15" wheels? Its not an upgrade as far as size but it would beat having to buy new wheels. Unless you were planning to get new wheels anyway.

This is the small kit. It can fit 15s, it doesn't fit all 15s though. My j speeds don't clear the spokes or inner barrel because there is a lip just like 15" rpf1's. They clear my work cr01 with a Tdisk face but that gives you 15mm outward added to the offset, plus another 6mm because of the brakes. My Works were bought with the specs that would sit flush with the stock brakes, id be almost a full inch past the fenders to fit the brakes behind them. I didn't want to go with 16s, but these wheels were too hard to pass up, especially for $550 on discontinued light wheels.

What a steal for those wheels. I've always loved those and rpf1, you can never go wrong with either.

You mind me asking where you purchased them from?

Ah so those ARE 16's. I'm debating running 16's, just for upgraded brake clearance issues. These look great! May have to run 16's after all!

:thumbs up to that!

Your paint is purdy

How are the wilwood brakes compared to when you had the SiR set up on your eg coupe?

A hell of a lot better. I don't think I can even put enough stress on these at the moment. I felt any brake fade, which is nice, and of course they are far too much of a brake for the tires on the nt03's. With the 10k springs up front it'll nose dive pretty hard if I give them decent pressure. Very little effort to stop while casually driving. No need to plan my braking 100 yards ahead of time along with a down shift lol
