Seriously would like a redo for this week. Horrible start, semi ok middle, and horrible end.

Today is the 1st time Rob Webber gets to track the integra. Not only is it the 1st for that car, it's a 1st for him, and I can't be there to see it. I feel like the worst GF in the world bc I can't support him and I really want to take video and have our first awwww at a road course.

Uuuughhhhh!

Apparently he's having a great time in a RHD CRX now.

It started before I was off work, and by the time I got home to tend to the dogs, hopped back on the freeway, fought traffic through downtown, crossed the river, and got through the lines at the track, it would've been 730 and it ends at 9. He got there at 330 I think and he's already ran a few times.

It's Midnight Madness at GIR tonight, so it'll be stupid packed. 1000s of people there every time. Road course is from 5-9, drifting from 5-2am, drag strip from 8-2am. There's always live bands or s**t rappers, models, small rides for kids, carni food stands, the usual food stands for the raceway, sometimes there's BMX courts set up...it's huge.

No, there's not. These don't happen often, and are always on a Friday and always start before I get off work and am able to get to the IL side.

It's also the principal. I'm not there for his first time, for our first 'aaaaaawww' time on the road course together. We always do our 'firsts' together, and I'm not there. I'm pissed and also beating myself up about this.

You're right, he's very understanding. But I know he is a little upset too. This has been something he's been wanting to do for years, and I fully support him getting very serious into it - and he's got excellent potential to do well too.
I think it's sort of a jealousy thing. He's out there for a first time having fun, and I'm not there to share it. I used to auto x and road race my crx and loved it...have plaques on the wall in the garage showing my accomplishments. I want to see his up there too and sorta wanna run again, but not my car.
