Question:

Sell the coupe with the GSR, or buy a single cam and swap that in then sell the motor separately?

I'd say do the latter.

Meanwhile, I need to find another engine for Civic.
Yeah. It's just going to be a pain to put the GSR back together. Put it in. Drive it. Take it back out and put a single in it

I must be way behind, what's goin on?
Well, I've been kind of slowly just losing interest in the Civic and getting overwhelmed with it. I'm moving out in November and I can't afford to modify a car and live on my own (especially in the places I'm looking to live). So to remove the temptation, I'm going to sell the Civic and get a bike. I have a daily driver that I can rely on to take me to work. That way a bike is my toy that I can have that I won't modify (except for little things, exhaust and whatnot) and I've fallen absolutely in love with them as of late. Then when I'm tired of that I'll get back into cars.

Bummed to see the car go, but if you're gonna slang it, get the GSR in and running fine. I think you'll get more for it with that, as opposed to with a single cam (a single cam d16y8 in that will only net you like $3k if you're lucky. A GSR will gain more).

It's going to be so hard. But Civics are so easy to find if I want to get another. But honestly I want a better project next time.

If I could afford both I totally would. But that wouldn't be smart.

I feel ya. I get back and forth with mine. It's not a project, just a daily for me. Right now, I want a bad as f**k daily, and once I get that, I'll gauge what I'd like to do next. Next project will either be an S14/S15, or a RX-7 (FD). I want something rear wheel drive and turbo haha.

If I wanted a full-bore project, it would be an S12. But I'm thinking of getting a BMW or a.......... erm............

VW CC

But it's so hard to talk about this, and every time I post I see my sig

VW you're getting into a money pit as far as a project goes... Same with a beamer. Euro cars are so expensive! I love the fact that tuner cars are cheap and plentiful for replacement/power. My brother in law really wants to go full blown on a drift monster S15 with me. I told him wait til I have a damn BMW first

I need to find a swap for my civic, but why is everything so expensive. I gotta pay to play.
Psh. Dude. Civics are not that expensive.
Right!? It would have cost me under a grand to throw a full B series swap into my car. I could do that tomorrow. I don't friggin want to.

For someone who doesn't work full time and goes to college full-time and every swap around him is 1.5-2k. They are, but just compared to my money situation. If I worked full time where I work it wouldn't be expensive.

Yes they're easy to find, but not with a body as clean as what you have now. I support you selling it, but if you ever jump back into Hondas I have a feeling you'll be disappointed.

Just like a Honda you can get a roaches out pile or a good car that isn't much to maintain. All depends on how it was taken care of or lack there of. My Mk4 needs nothing but the crack pipe replaced and even then it is because I know they are known to fail so I have everything just in case. Timing chains don't commonly fail on these so there is no worry there.

If I had to do it all over again I would pick my VW over my old civic any day of the week.
