Are these rotas worth it

I paid $225 + steelies with bald tires for my Slipstreams. They had mis-matched tires, which I took off and sold for $75. Then I put new NeoGens on. I only drove 15 minutes to meet the guy. If it had been 2.5 hours, I wouldn't have done the deal.
true.

Stfu with your post count bullshit. I don't care about my post count; I was implying that a 5 hour drive for Rotas isn't worth it in my opinion. Try to not take everything for face value, but next time I'll be sure to be more blunt with you

For me, it's not just the fuel cost, but also the time. I just don't see it all being worth it for Rotas
I was just saying if hes gonna spend $350 on used rotas, i mean if hes dead set, then this is a plausible scenario.

all of this for some cylindrical object made of steel and some rubber on it huh?
Offer that man, 100$ that, because those objects probably cost 25 usa dollars to make.

I can, but i don't have the time. Sorry. And Im i made a mistake by calling those Steel. Its Alloy material

Just keep looking man, you'll find them. Or buy them brand new and have them delivered to your house.

actually... for all i know, those Slipstreams could be Steel.

If you want them, get them. It's as simple as that, I wouldn't buy them for $100 either personally but if they're worth it to you, go for it.

Geez get off this guys ass. They're wheels and tires, simple as that. Who cares if they're Rotas. I use knock off TE-37 Nippon Racing wheels as my street wheels/tires for my race cars. Do I or anyone else care? Hell no. They work, they are light for what they are, look good and are cheap. I even used them on the track and have autox'd with them, they work. Holy hell people...

By the way, NO ONE has made any good argument for or against these... Doing a quick ebay search for these wheels, NEW they go for around $450 shipped. Then look at the tires, they look like they are Falken Ziex ZE-912's, they look chunky so probably 195/55R15's but I'll go with the later and say 195/50R15's, which new are around $230 PLUS shipping. Taking into account these say they have 80% tread left, lets drop that price to around a VERY CONSERVATIVE $175. Drop the price for used Slipstreams to what I believe a CONSERVATIVE price would be if they are a good shape, $250. That totals out to around $425 for a use set of wheels and tires in good condition. And this guy is asking $350?? I'd say that's a VERY good deal to start off with. You could even talk this guy down some more to make it a hellva deal!

If the OP doesn't mind the long drive, the amount in gas is negligible considering these are a very good deal. Even with gas it could be less than $350 for the wheels/tires.

Now, would I do this? No. Simply because my time is more valuable. I wouldn't do this even for a really expensive set of wheels because I don't have the time. I'd rather pay to ship something. But if the OP is willing, I'd say this is a very good deal, all assuming the wheels are in good shape, no bends and will balance and the tires are in good shape as well.

Go for it if you want OP. Who cares if they're Rota's. They'll work and look better than steelies IMO.

+1
Thank you point well proven. Cause of assholes like these clubcivic isn't worth browsing for me., you come for suggestions and help you get shitted on for "not having 1000$+ wheels" I have decided I'll wait a bit for a better deal locally.

And you came for suggestions, not all will be positive. It doesn't have to be a $1000 wheel, but even Buddy Club and Enkei have options well under that price point. I don't like replicas, so I am bias. If you already had your mind made up, idk where the question is.

Honestly, just save some cash. It's what I do, and I recommend everyone else to do when they can't afford quality. You will feel better in the end. I would rather roll steelies for a bit and wait for a good deal to come around when I have the money. I've purchased from impulse before and I suffered from it in the long run

There are plenty of cars that look nice, but few that are built with quality and care. Stand out amongst the crowd

Not necessarily brand new, just something quality. You can find good deals on used wheels in great condition with tires!
