Geez get off this guys ass. They're wheels and tires, simple as that. Who cares if they're Rotas. I use knock off TE-37 Nippon Racing wheels as my street wheels/tires for my race cars. Do I or anyone else care? Hell no. They work, they are light for what they are, look good and are cheap. I even used them on the track and have autox'd with them, they work. Holy hell people...
By the way, NO ONE has made any good argument for or against these... Doing a quick ebay search for these wheels, NEW they go for around $450 shipped. Then look at the tires, they look like they are Falken Ziex ZE-912's, they look chunky so probably 195/55R15's but I'll go with the later and say 195/50R15's, which new are around $230 PLUS shipping. Taking into account these say they have 80% tread left, lets drop that price to around a VERY CONSERVATIVE $175. Drop the price for used Slipstreams to what I believe a CONSERVATIVE price would be if they are a good shape, $250. That totals out to around $425 for a use set of wheels and tires in good condition. And this guy is asking $350?? I'd say that's a VERY good deal to start off with. You could even talk this guy down some more to make it a hellva deal!
If the OP doesn't mind the long drive, the amount in gas is negligible considering these are a very good deal. Even with gas it could be less than $350 for the wheels/tires.
Now, would I do this? No. Simply because my time is more valuable. I wouldn't do this even for a really expensive set of wheels because I don't have the time. I'd rather pay to ship something. But if the OP is willing, I'd say this is a very good deal, all assuming the wheels are in good shape, no bends and will balance and the tires are in good shape as well.
Go for it if you want OP. Who cares if they're Rota's. They'll work and look better than steelies IMO.
