Exactly, and that is my biggest concern with working with the 7. As far as the BRZ goes, it seems like a very viable option. A BRZ with bolt ons isn't going to be anything like a properly tuned car and that's why it probably still felt sluggish. There are many factors that can play in.

It was tuned (not sure who, but he had it dyno tuned someway or another). It was just. Slow. And unresponsive. And boring. Maybe I'm too used to forced induction

Not that type of tune, the engine itself (internals and all) is probably still stock not to mention that the guy probably did a poor job on the mapping. That, or the base mapping was set for daily driving aspects. It all depends on factors but I agree that it is underpowered from factory.

Yeah, I've seen all the aftermarket support. There's a ton of s**t for it.

Lol and then I look at the RX-7 and all I see is MazdaSpeed, MazdaTrix, Re-Amemiya, and a few un reputable brands. All parts are over priced and have to be shipped from JP to here. Not a bad thing but I know how thugs can go wrong really quick.
