lol tell me about it. s*** adds up quick. And I did consider the D300 as a cheaper alternative but I went with the D7000 for the better high ISO capability (at least from what I've read). I didn't really care for the better AF, frame rates, and CF card on the D300 (and maybe a couple more things).
I want a 70-300 VR next and I think that'll complete my bag. I'll have a flash, wide angle, telephoto, prime, and general purpose kit lens. Although you can never have too many lenses... If I could afford it, I'd totally pick up an 85mm or 105mm.....or even a 70-200

It came out in 2010 I think so it's pretty old by now but it's still a pretty good camera. It's gotten really good reviews for being a mid-range level DSLR and has been named a great alternative to more expensive DSLR's. The body only I found on eBay ended at $480. I'm praying it's not a scam lol. I did contact the seller asking when it would ship and if tracking confirmation would be provided and he responded within an hour so I'm thinking not.
