New Ek Coupe Owner, first car

Hi I'm a new member here. Just bought my first car, it's a 1999 Civic DX Coupe. I always wanted an EG Sedan, but can't find a decent sedan where I live, so I decided to pick up one of my in law civic coupe. I never wanted a DX, but the parts came with the car and how clean (from the area I live) the car is.

Your in law put the side marker in a strange place :O

Coupes are better than sedans anyways ;)

Welcome to ClubCivic! :hi:

Looks like you have a nice clean slate to work with. Any other mods on it? Do you plan on modding?

Many people just refer to 6th gens as EK's because it's the JDM chassis. Obviously not the correct way but I've always just associated EK with a 6th gen.

When someone says EK9 and it's LHD, that's where I draw the line

There never was an EK coupe. JDM or otherwise. At least with sedan and hatch it just sounds retarded to call a us model EK but there was at least one in another market so there is a vague truth in it. :what:

True, it doesn't make sense, it's just a generalization. It's like calling a rock a stone (yep, there's actually a difference).

Take this craptastic site for example: http://www.guerillaracing.com/honda-performance-parts

All 5th gens are known as EGs, and 6th gens are just known as EK's.
