Ok like it says... i've got a 98 coupe EX. Build me a bad ass system try to use the budget of 1500, but IF YOU CANNOT DO IT 2K IS THE ABSOLUTE MAX... i'm personally a Alpine fan. But i want to see what you guys can get me. I want it bangin, no comps, just a nice system that people can here from a block away and say damn thats nice. I am trying to get 2 12" ? Thanks guys... Are you looking for more boom? I run a single 10" in a ported box and IMO, that's plenty for me. I have the remote for my sub set at half and it's a lot. Or are you looking for more of an overall clean sounding system? Oh, and does your price need to include labor or are you going to DIY?
ALPINE = me puking!!! Eclipse head unit (your choice), JL audio 10w7 in the HO box, JL 500/1 amp, Focal front and rear speakers and a JL 300/4 amp, stinger cap (of your choice again). Problem here you hit the $2K mark for the sub and two amps alone, hehe. I score major deals at my local shop so I could swing all this for 2K no problem. Unless you find a hook up I'm sorry bro but its Alpine for you. I just hate the way their s**t sounds... personal taste though, thats what makes all our cars unique!

def go with ebay on everything. If ur looking at running a amp to ur doors and 6x9's than ur gonna wanna look at going Type R, but if u wanna just run the amp to ur sub and leave the componets alone, than look at going type S

If you run those speakers at half power they will sound like s**t and burn up. There isnt a decent set of components on the market that doesnt need an amp

I've NEVER paid retail for my s**t so price I dont care about, but alpine???? compaired to JL and FOCAL speakers, amps and subs, please dont be serious. there is a reason its expensive, because they are the best amps, speakers, and subs around!!!!!!! I've had my 300/4 (that actually puts out more like 450/40 for over 4 years, and its been in a car accident, you should see it, it looks like s**t because of what happened to it, but its still running 100%!! sorry, but by my opinion (which everyone has their own and its their right to) alpine will never touch eclipse, JL or focal EVER! as for zapco, $2200 for a 2000Watt amp is the same price as JL... image and dynamics I've never heard of, NO COMMENT

my eclipse headunit that I bought 4 years ago too, I paid $345 for when retail was 600. One of the guys at my local shop offered me $300 for it a week ago... so lets see that about $11.25/year for me to use my headunit when I sell it. And when I do, I'm getting their AVN double din NAV/DVD unit!!!!
