Two 10" fosgate p3's in a box (bridged off a p3001 amp) 2 bazookas with built in 50W amps running also off the second channel on the p3001. You could also run a kenwood 1100amp. Good bass of these. The 10" o2's rock as well. Only 800 for all this I bet maybe 1000.

Headunit - I would go Eclipse. Hands down.

Door/Rear Speakers
- I personally like my Infinity components... the highs are just a little too high. I've never heard the MB Quarts or Boston's in a Civic though... but they seem to be what everyone else is going with, but since I'm kinda biased on the Kicker stuff...
Kicker KS65.2 components for the doors
Kicker KS65 3-ways for the rear.

Amps - Kicker KX600.1 for the sub
Kicker KX350.4 for the speakers

Subs - One Kicker L7 12"

I'm really just a fan of Kicker stuff because I get 70% off for working at Circuit City, but at retail price all of the above should be close to 1500..... and that s**t gets LOUD. lol. And like everyone else said... eBay is your friend.

I've got the MB Quart components up front. The highs can get really ear piercing depending what you are listening too. Sometimes I have to turn it down b/c of that depending on the song. But they are uber clear.

Polk Momo 10 $120 (I got mine at Fry's for 49.99)
Polk DB650 $75.00
Polk DB525 $75.00
Kenwood Excelon KDCX469 $200 (Froogled mine for $80, new in box from an established retailer)
Kenwood KAC9152D $200. (Froogled for $150.)

Put the other $800. back to work for you earning interest and enjoy a nice sounding system that will never win a competition.

Zapco ratings and output own JL amps. The sq my amps put out is amazing. Blows away any JL amp.
When I ab tested alpine type r's to focal off a phoenix gold amp the sound difference was not worth the extra $300.00 to go with the focal. Type r's are perfect for the price.
Every piece of Eclipse equipment I have owned has malfuntioned. Crap in my book.
I will stick with our Alpine screes.

And I can not believe you havent heard of Image Dynamics. They have only been building one of the best main market woofers since the beginning of time

Ok... Heres the plan for me now.. i have about 600$ now... and on ebay they are selling 2 12" 4 ohm (4 ohm is better right?) Type R's for about 250 shipped? I was thinking about getting those... an Alpine CDA-9855 (DO I NEED THIS HIGH OF A UNIT? OR CAN I GET THE CDA-9853?... I have a OEM 6CD changer in trunk... and will eventually get comps and 6x9) What kind of amp? i dont understand amps... i prefer alpine but better and cheaper suggest away. What else will i need? i am going subs and head unit... my plans atleast...

The box is 33" wide... will that fit in the back part of my trunk? near where the doors flop down. i got a 98 EX coupe. I measured and at the edges the carpeting or w/e flips up? so its like a hump... just curious cause i play baseball and need room for my bag. Thanks again.

for 1500 bucks I would def invest in a JL w6, JL 500/1, alpine receiver, and some alpine type-s interiors, and if money is left over, but a decent 4 channel for the interiors.

I don't know if you'd need a cap. I don't have one and I don't have any power issues. Also if you're such a newb, I would suggest getting someone to install it for you or at least have someone who knows what they're doing to help you. If you do it solo, you'll learn alot about you car, but I'd be you'd have spaghetti everywhere.

FOSGATE IUS THE WAY TO GO FOR SOUND CLARITY. plus they pound. You should get some 10" p2's or 3's run em off a p3001 amp. Or one of am and 2 bazookas on each side . Panasonic makes cool headunits. Fosgate ones are sexy too.

Your stock 6 disc nger has plugs only for the stock deck. Once you take the stock stereo out of the equation you have no control of the stck changer, so it will be gone. If you go with alpine type R's I would suggest doing one twelve. Dynamat is a good choice and you will probably want a cap.
A cap will help keep your 60 amp alternator from overworking

Word of advice to you, put aside a good $300 of that and get a good security system otherwise you are basically throwing that $1500 away...
