18's are possible....if you put enough into suspension it'll fit without rubbing (most people cheap out on it though) 18's without a kit looks tooo weird, a body kit helps hide the huge size of the rims. Pot holes are a factory regardless what size wheels you're runnin'.....if you're smart, you'll have insurance coverage on your larger wheels like myself. I bend one, do a curb check, or blow a tire im covered. Just be smart about it, dont do a rediculous drop if you plan on driving it daily, and dont be cheap about it or you'll regret it (just my 2 cents)

even with the proper suspension you'd have to roll your fenders with 18's unless you somehow found the right bodykit. with my 16's and 45 series tires i rub when i turn lock to lock but not when cornering due to my tire tuck, and that's with a 2" drop doing it the right way. 18's are usually wide as hell especially if they're 3 piece

I am just curious on how well 18's fit on civics? Do they rub much or not? Cuz I have seen alot of 18's that I am really thinking about purchasing but do not kno how they'll fit.

I have 18" ADR racing rim 10 spoke (silver) with a polished lip and they look really good on my silver paint job , it isn't lowered or anything (Yet). I would pos a pic but I don't know how?

18s on a civic is pure stupidity.. waaayy too big, it'll rub really bad, unless you do some fender cutting or something...... plus it just looks really bad b/c a civic is small, and 18"s are just way too big..

hahahahha HAHAHAHA so you're saying that putting big rims on pretty much anything ISN'T just a fad? if you put 18's on a civic your car will looked jacked up hardcore without ALOT more mods. if you want 6" of ground clearence then go ahead and get 18's :D

I second this post. I had 18's on my hatch and i think it looked dope....Slight rub in front only if you turned all the way. How often do you do that though??? In the back I trimmed the metal in the fender-well to make sure it didnt rub. With the right suspension and lowering, 18's are perfect

Yea I think 18's just arent practical. They do look nice if done right but I think 17's are the highest you should go. Good luck.
