I had 18's on my car, notice i said had, anyways they where Konig Zeige i bought for 300 bucks. the tire size was 205/40/18 thats way to big you need 205/35/18 and they should be fine. the only thing with 18's is you can turn the stearing wheel all the way. like no really sharp turns. but i'm getting 17's now. with 205/35/17 and they should be fine. get 17's, or 18's but if you get 18's ppl can't ride in the back lol they will rub. hope this helps later.

I got 17s on my car and i have 205/40s and I don't recommend it man. When I make a sharp turn I can hear em rubbin on the inside fender. I wish I woulda gone with some clean si rims or somethin..but that was in my beginning days and I didn't know much. Not to mention are the tires are gonna be a pain in the ass. The tires are expensive as hell and as far as I know..correct me if i'm wrong..but 17 and up they are Z rated, and they don't last as long..so no burnouts for you!!

.............if you put 18's on a civic your car will looked jacked up hardcore without ALOT more mods. if you want 6" of ground clearence then go ahead and get 18's :D
I never said put 18's on and call it a day......that's when 18's look dumb. And it also depends on what Generation civic you're ridin' in, because the wheel wells get bigger as you go up in Gen's.

very very true. since civics are so small, smaller rims will look bigger on the car. after bodykit, lips, exterior boltons, etc.. the cars tend to look better with larger rims.

i have to admit this (and i'll get flamed for it) but i've seen 18" spinners on a 4th gen hatch full show car.. and it actually looked pretty damn good! keep in mind it was a full show car and the rims weren't used for daily driving. it was a baby blue 4th gen hatch with full white leather interior (including dash) with airbags and blacked out windows and some sort of bodykit AND A B16B!. looked very nice but wouldnt be my choice of a daily driver

wtf why are spinners gay? spinners are the s**t. and i don't care if i get flamed for this one or not, but thats just what i like. and i'm not saying i'm putting spinners on my civic i'm just saying. i'll do what i want to my car are you guys do what you want to your car. If you like 18's put 18's on your civic, don't do what everyone else wants. if we all do what everyone else likes, then how would our civic's be different from one anothers. but thats just my 2 cents.

I agree on do whatever you want, because if we all did the same thing that would just be boring. Here in AZ you see alot of rice so i kept my car all stock on the outside.

But what he probably ment is that spinners do not belong on a CIVIC

spinners belong on SUV's not cars, trucks,or vans but just on suv's

unless u get the plastic hubcap kind then the vans is an exeption

I have done alot of research and talked to alot of people about getting 18's because I was considering putting them on my 99 si. What I learned is that it is possible to do and know that without being lowered 18x7.5 size rim will fit on a 99 si. I have also had several people tell me that once they lowered there car they didn't have a problem either. However I am still debating whether to go 17 or 18 simply due to the fact of daily driving. I don't use my car as a daily driver however when I do drive it there are still pot holes and shitty roads out there. So it is basically personal preference. I personally think that 18 look good but im not sure I want to take the risk of bending them with the road conditions.
