Excuse me? Are you still upset because I was a "douche" and did my job? Grow up.
You missed the entire point. The guy that said something did care very much, he lived on that street. With family and kids. All it takes is one miscue. Not even a miscue sometimes, a freak accident. I witnessed a guy driving about 20 over in his mazda 3 on the road I used to live on, he flew by me at about 50 on a 30mph road, dude had something in his front left suspension/wheel/tire/lug nuts go horribly wrong, and the s**t instantly pulled hard left, and because he was driving too fast, and it may have been only 20 over, he drove into someones yard, crunched the dog, drove through their front porch, and wound up in the living room watching the 5 o'clock news with the family on the couch next to him. What if dude's tire went out at 90mph and he took out that guy's kids, or even the guy himself? What then? Oh well, they shouldn't have been walking down the sidewalk? They should know better to move when a car is driving that fast? Seriously, think about what you said, and why in fact the guy should care about it. You're only 17 so you get a little break, but come on man.
This. I would also call the cops on someone if they were even doing 50 down my street. 90? f**k that s**t. And you know what? I wouldnt think twice about it either. Its not snitching. Its called being able to look myself in the mirror. If some punk went 90 down my street once, and I didnt do anything about it......what happens when he does it again, crashes, and kills a child? I dont know about Ivy or b18c, but I wouldnt be able to sleep at night if I knew there was something I could have done, but didnt. Im assuming you two would be just fine though. You guys have shown in multiple posts that you care for no one but yourself, to a point so extreme that you probably WONT realize it until you seriously hurt someone else with your actions.

I'm not agreeing with what this clown did like I said before. I'd be pissed if he did 85 down a 25mph residential area myself.

What I'm trying to point out is that no one here "wouldnt speed" obv not to the extent this kid did but they'd speed if they had a m5 bmw. Thats what we're all saying.. lol jesus.

Oh and before I picked up my Civic, I didnt have a car. So my dad was letting me drive his Corvette for about 4 months. Not once did I floor it, not once did I push the pedal past 1/3 throttle, not once did I go more than 5mph over the speed limit. My dad even joked around with me, calling me a pussy for how I drove his car. He was expecting me to drive like a jackass all over town just because Im in a Corvette. The moral of the story is that people dont speed because they have a fast car, there are plenty of people who drive piece of s**t cars but still speed, and there are plenty of people with nice fast cars who DONT speed. The people who speed are punks like you who think they are above the law, and should be able to do whatever their tools are capable of doing.
Exactly. My dad has owned a Vette ever before I could drive. I remember going to the dealer and being in the passenger seat when the took it out of the showroom. I get to drive it on occasion and i don't abuse it at all. To me its just another car with great handling. There are kids out there that drive cars with a lot of horsepower and do it responsibly.

What the kid did was recless thats for sure. He should be punished for sure. But im not going to say that ive never sped. When i had my civic i had a massive lead foot. it got to the point where i got so many tickets that i sold the civic. i think the lead foot phase is something you grow out of. now im not saying that if i had something with some get up n go that i wouldnt use it. Im just saying i would think twice when and where i do it.

Your assumptions are very inaccurate. Its just a b***h thing to do. Period. In all honesty, your stating that this kid is 'immature" and "needs to grow up". Snitching is like going and telling a teacher on the playground that someone did something wrong. b***h thing to do.

Am I saying what this clown did is Ok? No. Generally if you give someone enough rope they'll hang themselves with it. This clown was bound to get f**ked without a little snitch ratting on him, and he would've learned his lesson a lot more severely then a 1000 dollar slap on the wrist.
Yeah, he wrote his own ending, but at what cost? If we can stop him early and he pays $1000, then good. How severely did you want him to learn? After his own death and/or death of others? This guy was ON the street when he did it. I get your point...we ALL speed, yes...highways, back roads, main roads we go 7mph over...but when I hit my neighborhood I don't f**king STOP....then punch it to ehhh 65 OVER the limit. I'da "snitched" too. Call me a b***h. If I was going that fast I'd want someone to bring me down off my rich prick high. I understand "tattling" can be a b***h thing to do, but look at the circumstances.

Exactly. I dont even drive 90mph on the highway, 75mph, MAYBE 80 if traffic is flowing that fast. Honestly, for doing 90mph in a residential area......I think the kid got off easy. I know I would have slapped him with a MUCH worse penalty if I were the judge.

Yes this kid is dumb for what he did, i agree with that. If your going to drive fast on public roads at least pick a better, less developed spot to do it, but for someone to tell the cops that for one doesnt even know him and should really not care that much in the first place is just wrong. Its a forum, no reason to bring the law into things that are said on the internet.
Bullshit. I don't care who it is or weather I know them or not. If they blow by my house that fast and I have a chance to turn them in with proof, you bet your ass I am going to.

When you have a bunch of kids in the neighborhood that play in and around the street, you tend change your tune.

I believe that the report had it wrong. There was a guy from the street that he was driving reckless on that posted in the original thread. I am under the impression that HE turned him in.

Yes, everyone that drives like that end up hanging themselves, but like said above how much do you want to let happen before they learn their lesson? Would kids getting hit and killed be enough? He got off easy with what he ended up getting. It could have been a LOT worse. I would even bet a pretty penny that he didn't learn his lesson.

This. I can guarantee you that I would NOT be able to sleep at night if a child was killed due to some punk that I didnt report to the police.

Excuse me? Not once did I belittle or name call anyone for what they thought. This is the time I wish a moderator would actually do their job.

6. Being rude or disrespectful will not be tolerated. It is ok to disagree with someone, but arguing and name calling is unacceptable

No. From what I understood from reading the thread on the BMW Forum, I gathered that it was in the city of Toronto. I'm not sure about you but if you get pulled over where I'm from 30+ the posted speed limit you go to jail. Jail would be more of a wake up call for me then a 1000 dollar fine, and from what I've read about the kid, money apparently isn't a problem. I agree with you 100%, I dont stop in a neighborhood and fly 65mph over the speed limit. Yes its a good thing he's off the streets but this is a lesser of a lesson then what he'd have learned when god decided to kick him in the ass. With a kid that has the "rich boy" I can do anything attitude he shouldn't be anywhere near a M5. All I was saying is that everyone speeds. Period. Should we? Probably not. The police speed for christ sake IN town too.
