Hey guys. I went to start the car tonight and unfortunately (but not surprisingly) it wouldn't turn over. The fuel pump definitely was not priming. I didn't really have any time to trouble shoot because I am exhausted. I'm going to work on that tomorrow. I just have one question that could help to clear some stuff up. Would a fuel pump sitting in an empty tank for over a year go bad? Do they have to always be full of fuel? Also, is a certain amount of fuel needed for the fuel pump to prime? Thanks in advance for advice. I'll keep you guys updated.

Check fuse #13 I believe in the cabin.
Also you should pry have about a 1/4 tank...try adding some sea foam also...fuel DOES go BAD. The pump could have rusted and the electrical contacts could have rust on them causing no power.

I'm going to get a test light on my way home from work and test all the fuses to hopefully rule them out as the cause. I put about a gallon and a half in last night because I'm pretty sure the tank was bone dry (there wasn't much when I parked the car and the fuel system was open so I have a feeling it all evaporated). I'll up in a few more gallon's tonight. I think its only around a 9-10 gallon tank. Right now, I'm thinking its the pump, but I'm going to test the following to make sure they are all good.

- spark
- all fuses
- main relay
- ECU ground

After four hours of troubleshooting today, I found numerous plugs that all had continuity with each other and the chassis. So tomorrow I'll pull the harness out and see if I can find the short. This is the exact reason I didn't loom it yet... lack of confidence in my work.

HUGE thanks goes to Alex for sending me his old harness. Hopefully all the electrical issues were my own fault and swapping the harness for an OEM one will cure those issues. I'm going to try to start it again tomorrow night and see how it goes :???:

The original harness was a modified OEM one. There were some issues with the modifications I performed. The harness was a kind donation from Alex =)

Well I installed the harness today and it fired right up. Now I just have a few small things to finish up and figure out why I have a CEL code 20 then its off to inspection on Monday.
