1999 Honda Civic Si

Ok, this is my first Honda, so I'll be asking for questions or asking for advice quite frequently. I picked this up a few nights ago. I traded an 85 Trans Am for it. Best decision I've ever made. Ever. My plans are to keep it basically the way it is until after college (I'm a senior in high school at the moment, so it'll be a while). I'll be doing a few things here and there to make it my own while I'm in college though. After I graduate I've got some pretty big plans. A full engine build and turbo charging it. I'm open for any suggestions in the meantime though! Any tips and suggestions are welcomed!

Ok, so the PO did quite a bit to it, but he never actually gave me a full list of mods, but he did tell me a few of them. I'm going to list what he's told me, and the other mods that are actually visible.

Performance

DC Headers
Megan Cat Back Exhaust
eBay Brand CAI
A/C Delete
Megan Coilovers
6 Puck Racing Clutch
Short Throw Shifter
Mugen Power Strut Bar
Falken Tires

Appearance

Rota Circuit 8 Wheels
Black Headlight Housings
JDM Yellow Fog Lights

Audio

Sony Head Unit
Sony xPlode door speakers (I'll be putting Rocksford-Fosgate component speakers in)

Ok, Now for some pics. I still haven't had time to properly clean it and get pictures so I took these a few hours ago with it sitting in my drive way. Better Pics coming soon!

The ODO only reads 85k miles! It's the lowest mileage car Ive ever owned!

And here are the rims that are on it. The PO sent me this picture, and it's actually a bit lower in the front now though. Anybody know what these rims are?

Like I said, I'm completely new to Hondas, so any tips or suggestions are welcome!

Welcome, and great find! I have an em1 as well so feel free to pm me and ask any questions.

Wheels look like Rota circuit 8's, Mugen MF8 knockoffs. Mugen strut bar looks fake too. Overall its real clean and a great start. Check out EM1Crew if you haven't already http://excoboard.com/EM1_Crew

Research research research... Thats how u know its fake. No big deal. It does the same thing as the real mugen but just costs 1/25th of the price...

I've never really liked Rotas. So they will probably be getting sold if I can find a good deal on a set of 6 spoke rims. Only thing is that they have brand new Falkens on them... But then again, i guess i could use them on the newer rims if I can get them the same size

You could trade straight across for oem si rims with good tires and it would look way better. Then polish the si's and be a baller!

I'm definitely going to try to find a clean set of Si rims. I've always preferred to keep OEM styling when it comes to the body and rims. But I also considered trying to get a set of Enkies or something similar to that.

I'm from Cross Lanes, right outside of Charleston, but ill be in Huntington for school!

And thanks, I really like the color of the wheels, just not a big fan of the style. I've always preferred a 6 spoke rim

Clean ass EM1. Traded for an 85 Trans Am? You came up big time. To find a legit Si with matching vin on motor, tranny and chassis with that low of mileage is next to impossible. Good job!

Those are indeed Rota Circuit 8 wheels. Everyone will talk s**t, but honestly, they are perfectly fine for a daily driver like this. I would never depend on them for Auto X/Track, but I doubt you're going to be auto xing this anytime soon, so you'll be fine. I wish I could come up on a clean Si like this!

Even then they're fine. Plenty of drag, drift, even rally cars on rota's. There's just too many uneducated people is why people talk s**t about them. Anyways, I won't turn it into a rota debate thread.

I love the car. Im a bit partial since I have a red 99 lol.
